Okay you guys a real “sneak” peek at the very beginnings of our studio…and a few quick shots with one of our new backdrops. Mind you this is lit with just regular floor lamps we brought in for light. We dont have the real deal yet until Lindsay starts college classes in Photography in a few weeks and gets a major discount at Camera Arts. We are getting a ProPhoto light system from them and will be all set up for studio work! That is the system our friend Robin has and btought over for us to test out in our house the other weekend. We talked with the store she bought hers at and we really liked the owner and she was very helpful and we decided to go with that system. Will be so exciting to get it all in there!
What a dusty dirty job cleaning the garage from 9 years of throwing things in there!!! From all our stuff after our Christmas Eve house fire in 2000 to my mother’s things that my step dad brought after 26 years of storage after she died. So there was alot of stuff!!! You didnt see all the piles of stuff outside that door…but believe me I have enough stuff out there for a major garage sale. But I dont have time to do that so it is all going to charity and what is junk is going to the dump. Mark already filled his truck twice!

We are going to put a wet look seal on the garage floor. Put in a new a/c and a ceiling light system to keep from taking up too much floor space. After all this is not a 2 car garage…: (

Okay here I am on my Spree! I won that thing about 15 years ago it has never been used…
but I am going to use it as a prop now! You will be seeing it in the future!
So anyway here it is! such as it is…I will definately post up some better pictures later…
Well back to work early tomorrow morning still alot to do!

PS. Some of u know Crystal “hopeful_and_happy”. She just got her studio up and running recently and she got a call that it flooded in the recent rain! See may 4th’s post. It is so heartbreaking….she actually has a Store “STUDIO” downtown Conway, Arkansas where she is from. She posted up her pics on her April 4th post and wow I was so impressed with what she did…well anyway go say Hi to her and encourage her she is really going through it right now…the flood pictues are pretty recent and should still be on the front page. The other pics of it all done might be a page or two back…

Thank you for the link to Ebay. That is so awesome. I do have a reflector kit—got it years ago and iv used it maybe three times in two years with the “gold” side. There was always a white so called thingy inside the gold/silver backing—its hard to explain it the white thingy is what holds the silver or gold cloth…. I honestly thought the white thingy WAS for this PURPOSE only! LOL
Scott Robert mentioned a white diffuser… and I was like…hmmm? So I went downstairs and looked. Sure enough it is a white diffuser. It’s not something that holds the reflector cloth!
I looked at the link you provided… oh bummer! I LOVE ebay like you.. you can find me at “billandjulielovejesus”
I really really want a broom handle and clip to hold the diffuser or the gold side for portraits I plan to do at a wedding next weekend.
Your garage is really coming along! I know your adventures with cleaning the garage out. Last year we had a HUGE storage place plus a FULL garage… we had multiple yard sales and gave sooooooo much stuff away to charity. Now our garage is practically empty and we got rid of the storage unit! It was costing almost $220 a month!
I can’t wait to see your finished result. I saw you left a comment with hopefulandhappy that you plan to paint the cement floor.. thats a great idea. …… Maybe I shuld “hint” to my husband I want a studio in the garage (wink).

Um….hey, if you remember correctly, I WON that Spree at the Lumberjack on Auburn a LONG TIME AGO. This story changes as the years go by. It is a funny story cuz I used to enter my parents into every entry form thing I could get my hands on. It would drive them crazy. Then they got the call that they won that Honda Spree. so funny……
I cant wait to see the studio when it is finished….looks so good so far!!
