My response for the first three hours of my drive to the hospital to see my brother (who, we were told, probably wouldn’t make it through the night) was as stupid a thing as I have ever done. However, you put a better spin on it, and I thank you.
 
I think taking things literally when speaking of God and faith can be a mistake at times. I mean, it’s ludicrous to think I would challenge one who holds supreme power,to a fight.
When I began to regain my sanity during the same drive, I actually laughed, albeit briefly. For some reason I pictured this big hand coming out of the sky while I looked up and got into a boxing position.
 
Out came the hand’s index finger and just flicked me on the forehead. It was at this point I assumed another boxing pose.
 
That would be the lay-flat-on-my-back, knocked-out one!
 
True, and in proper perspective, maybe not quite as bad as I first thought.
