KELLY~

It is so strange to see someone you know on TV. Since they taped that back in September it is amazing how long it takes for a show to air! Kelly was anxious to see it but was in Cosmotology School when it came on. So we taped it for her. Dave taped it also…they are going to show it at the School of course…since it was some pretty good publicity for them to appear on National TV. So that was all thrilling to finally see it. I will be anxious to see how Kelly feels about the editing of it all. There was alot of stuff that didnt make it on and some things that Kelly asked them not to bring up but they did! It was a hard situation on alot of fronts and it is unfortunate that some of it came back up again when many of us have had to move on. Specifically her divorce and her job. I am glad God knows the heart and loves us unconditionally even when we slip and fall or feel unloved. He is there, helping us pick up the pieces of our lives, encouraging us while many times everyone else wants to remind us over and over again the choices we make and condemn us forever for it. Kelly has begun to meet God on their terms now and not through us as her parents or through her friends or even her church. I wish alot of things had not happened but through it all God never let go of her and she sees that and has even grown alot since the show in that realm. Dave didnt know the Lord at the taping of that show and now he does…they werent going to church and now they are. God will reveal Himself no matter what we might be thinking…He wants a true relationship and will do whatever it takes to show us that faking it doesnt get it…not with Him or anyone else….So God really does bring good out of bad situations….No wonder they call Him Redeemer…now if we could just help each other see that and reflect that quality… 

I really did enjoy seeing the show I thought Kelly looked beautiful and I thought she did a good job of keeping the details of what they wanted to pull out and dissect out of it and not go there. As to the skydiving…..Apparently, FEAR IS NOT A FACTOR FOR KELLY!!!

Woah I like my kids on the ground!!! I hope you had your fun Kelly and now keep you feet on the ground.

COMPUTERS~

 

Well I am up writing this while Mark is dealing with his computer. He picked up a virus off a photography bulletin board we use, that got hacked.   He clicked on a link and that is when it all started. and it has completely crawled to a halt now. So today when I saw a commercial for “Stop Sign” and told him about it he decided to try it tonight and that was when it got worse! Dont ever use that software!!!!! He has 60 problems going on that some other software is telling him now. This is NOT good for our business! He has all the programs and software on his computer for our business. I pray he will get this fixed.

WEDDINGS~

Well I do have some good news, we booked another July wedding which will be back to back weekends. The 15th and the 22nd. The Latteri’s and the Ledet’s. The first one is for a close friend’s daughter and her fiance which you have all seen their engagement session we did a while back! This second wedding is a small backyard wedding with a sweet young couple. IT should be alot of fun. The receptions will all be right there at the same spot so it should be rather easy going….Mark is doing a wedding with a local photographer we just met who is such a nice guy. His wife is from the same hometown as Mark! Not often we run across ppl who know or are from Jamestown NY! We are both doing a wedding as second shooters for Robin on the 17th locally here then another one with Robin again in SF later. We have had alot of requests from brides as far away as Florida and Georgia…the internet is amazing how you can have ppl looking at your website or your Xanga from just about anywhere in the world!

Well tomorrow I start my exercise program…I have not been doing anything for a while and I feel it! I need to get some MUSKLES to carry all the equipment I need to bring along on a shoot! 

PRAY FOR ME!!! I procrastinate when it comes to starting an exercise program or a diet….Oh and PRAY for his computers ( his laptop and his desktop)….Mark says it is a serious problem what ever it is has embedded itself deeeeep and he cant figure it out. When Mark says that I get worried because he always fixes everything…he is just good at it! But this is BAD!!!

Well he is giving up for now and going to bed….poor guy! I wish I knew how to help….

Sorry alot of these images are not what I would like to have, but our studio lights are cheap floor lamps right now…  ah well! 

 

 

WOOHOO!! We now have a taken a major step in our studio- a backdrop system is up!!

Here is a shot of it with only the black backdrop up. We will be putting up white ones along the sides to reflect the light and they will cover our storage cupboards.

We decided to keep the garage door clear of the second set of cupboards and moved them to the right side. So we can open up more space by lifting the garage door or we can drive in a car or bike for a prop!

And of course, we had to have a first picture, and the only subject nearby that we could find was…Josie girl.

Forgive the bad shots here. The only lens we have had down here to throw on the camera has been the fish eye which is why so the pictures look bowed. But it helps get everything inside the frame so that is good. Cant wait till the studio lights get here!~ We have been using regular floor lamps…haha

 

Once our lights show up we’ll really be cooking!! It’s so exciting!!

Got new pictures coming tomorrow…the tracks are up and the backdrop is up…I just didnt get a picture yet. Once I do I will post it tomorrow.We are still waiting on the professional light system and a few other things. But when those come in we will be just about done…At least inside…we still have some yard work to do to make it presentable when ppl come over. So watch for the pics tomorrow some time and then…

She is moving from Xanga. I know many of you are sad to see her go as well. She has been known as a Motherly and even a Grandmotherly influence in many lives…she has been a consistent, thoughtful, loving witness for the Lord and His Kindgdom work. She has diligently sought out birthdays so as to always make people feel that they mattered and probably if not for her would never had a birthday wish on their day! It will be a sad day on Monday for many people…

Lori if you read this …you have blessed many lives, mine included. Only you could say and be the voice in the wilderness for Jesus. You were hand chosen to do what you have done. Now that you have been released into a new season. I know you will find the next assignment just as rewarding. May you still find time to email us or check in with us from time to time…

It was a comfort to me to know some nights I was up with insomnia that you were out there awake too…not that I wish that on any one but I did feel like someone else understood the aches and  pains of Fibromyalgia and the fatigue that insomnia brings the next day…I do know that when we see each other in heaven we will have new bodies and probably wont even remember the stupid words of our disease!

I love you and will miss you and your family esp. your grandkids!!!!!

This month a visiting sweet friend of the ministry gave us a wonderful gift — an iPod (a fancy mp3-player-type gadget)
already filled with some of the latest American worship music, what a gift! The gift of constant worship music wherever we go!!

Well, we just love this thing, but especially Elianna. She loves to listen with her daddy, one earphone in my ear, one in hers,
jumping and dancing around, singing along to the wonderful worship. This morning, Elianna reached up and grabbed the
earphones off the table and put them on. But to her surprise, there was no music. She took the earphones out, inspected them,
and put them back into her ears. Still nothing. Then Elianna looked up at me and said in her cute little two year old dialect, “uh oh, wha happen?”

Elianna didn’t hear the music because the Ipod was charging in the other room and the headphones weren’t attached.

This got me thinking. We can never just assume that we will hear the Lord if we’re not plugged into Him and His ways. If we want
to hear the music of God’s way and God’s will for our lives, we need to set apart time to get plugged in! Time to read the Word,
worship, pray, meditate and listen too (not just talking, asking, pleading, like so many of us tend to do)!

Let’s spend this weekend getting plugged in. We believers need to be plugged in to the Lord. There’s so much work to be done!
