Oh we are soooo close to getting the slideshow up but each time he is almost ready to finish it the program crashes! smashpc He is working on his third attempt now…weird as we have never had this kind of problem before!

Sorry to say it will be a wee bit longer we were hoping to post it earlier this afternoon….

Three is a good number right? thumbsup

Okay, Scott Robert suggested something and I think I am gonna do it…I have been working out as you know for the past 3 weeks. He suggested I post a before and after picture of myself…

Well at first I was like “NO WAY” but then I realized how vain I can be about how I look …so I thought this will be humbling for me…I should do it, and if it helps anyone else get healthy and feel better then GREAT!

So I will post my before picture next week after the slideshow.

I will probably include what I am doing nutritionally too..I have either done one or the other but this is a first for me to combine the diet with the exercise. I expect great strides. I cannot wait to get to the point when I can move around with greater agility when I am shooting a wedding or anything for that matter! hehe.

Just got back from the gym….you young ones out there…do not forget to take care of your body…as you get older the temptation is to not do so…I used to work out when I was in my 20′s and then I had 2 more kids and had not darkened the door of a gym since…except for a stint at Curves a couple of years ago…I am now a full fleged member of a fully equipped gym and I am loving it! Its hard work and I hate looking in the mirror when I walk around but a small price to pay for how great it feels! I have really been pushing myself and I am noticing a change already. Its been about 3 weeks now and I try to go every other day. I spend about 2 hours minimum there…I would have never thought I could do that! But God has designed our bodies to heal itself and if we treat it right it will keep us healthy and fit for as long as we need it. Only a Master Designer can do that…!

Mark is feverishly working on the slideshow and hopes to have it up later today…I am cracking the whip! Haha…just kidding! He does a good job of that himself he really doesnt need me to do that!

We have added a new camera to our tool kit! Mark picked up a 30D and has given the 20D to Lindsay and as a back up for the business. She has shown herself to be very interested in photogtaphy and she deserves it. She is taking classes at the college and really studying up on it when she can. Brian is also getting very motivated. They worked as our assistants last night at the Family Shoot and they got paid  for that as well as the day long trip to SF to shoot the Jewish Wedding. We believe it is good for them to start seeing how the business can be very good for/to them. Brian and Lindsay actually got some really great shots!!! Brian shot with the infrared camera and got some cool stuff!

Come back either tonight or tomorrow if you wanna see the slideshow of the wedding…the family shoot will be later…

    Bless someone today!

    Edit:

We have a family photoshoot tomorrow and still working on the electrical in the studio so it will be still a few more days…darn…I wish I knew photoshop so I could help Mark with getting these things done quicker! But I guess it will just have to wait…tonight we did some practicing with our new QFlash which we bought with the storyboard job. It will be awesome to use for those shots that just need that extra oomph of light to get a good shot. Dont you hate it when you dont have enough light and the picture comes out blurry!? This flash covers a much longer distance than our 580′s or any on camera flash…

Here is a collage of some stuff I did in the backyard tonight…

    Have a great week!

Oh yeah and here is an interesting one I took of some fireworks! This is not photoshopped just cropped! Cheryl…That is the first thing that came to my mind so I thought I’d post it. I figure because of the low light streaking you get without having adequate light and no flash and the perfect way the fireworks happened to burst it made this awesome angel!

Okay… so the SF wedding was amazing!! We are so itching to edit them and get them up but we are in the middle of the the electical work on the studio so…we have to wait. But let me just say the Jewish wedding was a photographers dream…lots of color, excitment and dancing and singing and symbolisms that are so beautiful to watch…

We wish them well and that they have a long happy life together!!! Again thank you  Robin Michelini for the opportunity to work with you again!

    See ya soon!

Edit: Off to SF to do a wedding in the morning…all 4 of us the kids are going to be our assistants for the day…Have a wonderful 4th of July!

Here’s the latest slideshow!! This was not only a great couple, but an awesome family to be with that day.

The groom just got back a week before the wedding from serving in Iraq. He was going to come in his full dress uniform, but decided at the last moment he didnt want to take any focus away from his bride. What a guy! (but it would have been such a cool shot with him all dressed up….)
