  • 50 years!!

Wow – I thought it was amazing when Kerri and I had our 25th Wedding Anniversary last year, but in the past month we’ve had the honor of witnessing two other long marriages!!

First, at the weddng in the slideshow in our last post, there was a couple there who had been married 60 years!!

Then we took pictures at a 50th Wedding Anniversary last month. Here are some of the pics. Helen and Bob were so sweet, and they were just so full of life and laughter! It was hard to make them be serious!

In one of the series of pictures it was helen and Bob along with their children. It was fun to see these full grown adults morph back into children as they sat on the couch and laughed with each other! This is the “gag reel” as we tried to get them to settle down for a picture!!

One of the young couples there is engaged and is getting married next year. Check out that bling!! I am just amazed at how talented I am that I can get this type of picture – you only have a millisecond and the moment is gone…

P.S. – Just kidding…most of you prob know you can add a “glint” in Photoshop.

  • Haha… you’re funny! Sometimes photographers DO get lucky and capture a shine from a ring or earrings but that is so rare.

Did you get any pics of you both from your anniv last year? I can’t believe some couples have been married for that long and it makes you think about whatever problem there is in marriage and if its worth the hassle to fight about it or just deal with it. Most things ARE trivial…that I am slowly learning that part and I just deal with it.   When I just let “go” and leave it in Gods hands, most of the time, God turns it around and makes it even better.

May God bless your marriage for many many years to come!

Great pics…LOVED the family who kept laughing and couldn’t keep a straight face for the camera. I like how you added the shadows around the family portraits.

  • Awe what an opportunity to photograph a shoot with such a special meaning.  I bet they could share a lot about having a long loving relationship.  I love that first shot of them and should be up in their home and the rest of the families’ homes.  My grandparents were 88 and had been married since their twenties.

  • Hey Look a photo of Robin and she’s smiling!:coolman:
