  • Back at it…

We decided that my home office layout wasnt working very well. We spent most of the weekend rearranging the office – which means moving furniture into various combinations until you find the one that works, followed by stringing what seemed like miles of cables, wires, etc.to hook up my computer for the digital darkroom, studio office, etc. Whew! It realy works much better now, but nothing is where it used to be, and I’m having to decide where to put and use things now. All this in the midst of keeping up with client orders, job production, etc. My back hurts….

So now we move on to finishing up some of our weddings, and preparing for the next. Kerri is in the middle if designing an album for Katrina and Desmond. They chose such great pictures I know their album will be great!

We also are finishing up some framed prints that Jaimy’s parents ordered from her baptism. Those pictures were just astounding – God was really with us that day, as the images we got were so good you know God had to be involved.

We’re meeting with a couple of really cool sounding couples tomorrow to talk about their weddings. If we book them, I’ll post more information!

Next week I’m scheduled to go to Las Vegas to help out with an engagement shoot, and later in October we are travelling to southern California to attend the seminar Scott Roberts and Lastoria Photo are putting on – it is going to be so good I can’t wait!

Kerri is also busy working on her project for the November Crisis Pregnancy Dinner banquet – her part in it is inspired, and if you have been reading her posts on it you know she is gathering photo talent from around the county to help with this – I cant wait to see the final results! (But I may not be able to attend the dinner as there is a wedding I may be shooting the same night…)

Lots of work, and not enough hours in the day. But I still can’t believe I get to do this for a living. Everyone should get to do what they have a passion for.

  • My back hurts just reading everything you did!!  You sure have a lot of fun for what you do!  I’m glad for you.  Most people don’t find this much joy in what they have to do!  God bless sister!

  • Just thinking about moving things around makes me feel motivated. How is it working out?

I love how you give credit to God for everything. That is so how it should be for all good comes from Him.

  • Ugh. You said the ugy word “moving”….ugh! You deserve a vacation after that. I look forward to meeting you in October at the photo workshop. It’s gonna be awesome.

  • I use to love moving things around . . . but, I don’t do it anymore. :)   I use to also split logs — I would tell  my husband that it was as easy as  cutting a piece of pie. I enjoyed it thoroughly. :fun:  Enjoy! ~Carolyn

  • :sleepy: Oh stop your whining about moving everything around! LOL! Its about time! I bet you found some loose change under Marks desk and maybe even an old photo or two wedged in there too. Can’t wait to come over and see what you did.Wish you asked me about helping out. Im really good at re-decorating and creating space. The first thing you need is a few track lights, paint one wall a solid color to use as your premier showplace, add some crown molding and the most important thing is buy a winning Lottery Ticket worth millions!. I was also thinking about a little remodel on the hallway wall to remove half of it to make the room more spacious and give Mark more layout space for the two of you to work side by side.

    Just my opinion.

  • You are so blessed and we benefit from your blessings, thank you .

  • Part of your gift isn’t just that you can shoot well but that you make shooting seem fun, which it is but some people lose sight of that.

  • LOL…. sounds like you had lots of fun doing it all.   So busy!!!!  God give you strength.  Think of you very often. Love Sara
