Yesterday I was invited to help Randy shoot his wedding for Jeremy & Brianna. They were such a sweet couple!!
I’ve only edited a few pics and wanted to get something up here today.
After the wedding they had a dove release out front which was soo cool…

Mark is off shooting a wedding with Randy from Borel Photography today….I am taking it easy today. Brian needed a ride to work so I didnt go with…I am sure they will get some great shots to show tonight.
We met with our dear friends last night for dinner and to look over the proofs of the shots we got of Jaimy’s baptism. We had a number of them blown up and matted and framed and hung all over the house for them to see…it was fun seeing their surprise…
So it is getting to be alot like fall this week. I am loving it!!!! You know what that means Christmas is around the corner! Been seeing tickers here and there about Christmas! So I have been thinking about getting our pictures ready for our Christmas cards. You know they gotta rock since we just started our photography business this year…so guess we gotta get busy and put on our thinking caps for a really cool card!

Those of you who have images for the Crisis Pregnancy Banquet please send them to office@lydellphoto.com if you have large images you can FTP them if not you can email them there. I will let you know when we get all the images and pick the ones we can use at the Banquet. I will post them with credit to the photographer as well as feature them in a slideshow presentation of the night that will be posted on our blog as well as OSP.

Can use your help for our local Crisis Pregnancy Center’s Annual Fundraising Banquet
Hey all you photographers!! Do any of you have any photographs of children that you have taken while on mission trips? I am on the design team for our local Crisis Pregnancy Center and we are looking for some images to help us convey the theme that “All Are Precious In His Sight“. We are looking to have them blown up and mounted for display at the event.SInce it is a multi-cultural theme we would love some images that really convey the children in their culture.
Looking for
1) American
2) Russian/ Soviet Union Eastern block countries
3) Asian countries
4) East Indian countries
5) Mexican/Hispanic
6) African
Should be of enough quality to be printed at 16×20.

Here is the slideshow from the baptism we shot this last weekend. Like Kerri wrote in the last post, this was a VERY special ceremony, and we were honored to be a part of it.
It seems that in todays society everyone is in a hurry to grow up, and children want to take part in everything as soon as they can, so there is no sense of waiting and preparation. But in Jaimy’s case, her parents instilled in her the value of waiting until you are ready. That is why this was so special – you can just see on her face after she comes out of the water how much joy is in her heart!

We had the absolute honor to photograph Jaimy’s baptism today….what a blessing to be able to visit our old church Glad Tidings of Yuba City, Ca. Has it really been 10 years since we moved to Roseville to start The Rock Churches!! WOW!
Jaimy waited until she was ready to understand the love and grace that God extends to us through Jesus Christ so that we may be a blessing to Him and to those He sends us to. This outward expression of our devotion to Him and what He has done for us is our show of love and affection for Him. It takes some understanding to grasp all He has done and what that requires of us…
God bless you Jaimy!! and God bless your proclamation and promise to our loving and faithful Jesus Christ……!

Slideshow coming….
One of our recent brides, Sarai Latteri, is manager of a local Starbucks by us. (One of my favorite places to go…)
Their store was recently remodeled, and was running under reduced hours, so they recently had a “Grand Reopening.” We went over to take some pics – it was such a blast!

They had local artists singing some of whom we knew! The song on this slideshow is written and sung by our friend, the girl who is in the show, Jules Baezinger.
She gave us a rough cut of one of her songs to use with the slideshow which is what you are listening to. Isn’t she awesome!!!! The other artists were awesome too! The couple is a newly married couple Stephanie and Bobby, whom we also know. I didnt get the name of the single guy…so that is a bummer we will have to find out his name!
EDIT: We are excited….this morning we are getting ready to go do a baptism for the daughter of our very dear friends! I posted Jaimy and her father’s picture a few posts ago…Can’t wait! We will be hading bavk to the church we were attending when we were dealing with Mark’s cancer and where we were attending when he was healed! Jaimy is the sweetest young lady and we are so honored to be able to capture this time in her life for her and her parents…We will post a picture or two when we get back…since it looks like we are caught up with everything…

Wow – I thought it was amazing when Kerri and I had our 25th Wedding Anniversary last year, but in the past month we’ve had the honor of witnessing two other long marriages!!
First, at the weddng in the slideshow in our last post, there was a couple there who had been married 60 years!!
Then we took pictures at a 50th Wedding Anniversary last month. Here are some of the pics. Helen and Bob were so sweet, and they were just so full of life and laughter! It was hard to make them be serious!
In one of the series of pictures it was helen and Bob along with their children. It was fun to see these full grown adults morph back into children as they sat on the couch and laughed with each other! This is the “gag reel” as we tried to get them to settle down for a picture!!
One of the young couples there is engaged and is getting married next year. Check out that bling!! I am just amazed at how talented I am that I can get this type of picture – you only have a millisecond and the moment is gone…
P.S. – Just kidding…most of you prob know you can add a “glint” in Photoshop.
Here are our pics from this last weekend – Richard and Shannon were so in love – you could tell how happy they were.
The kids at this wedding were all so cute too – it was hard to stop taking pictures!
The wedding site was incredible – winery weddings are too incredible.
We’re off to get ready for our next shoot this weekend…it will be a very special shoot, and you’ll have to wait for the details. We’ll post more later!
