    EDIT:

I meant to post these pics earlier when I put this up, but forgot.

This is an example of a before and after pic from the wedding and what you can do to add a little spice to an otherwise ordinary picture. When I looked at the pictures I took in the barrel room, I came across this one:

When editing, I was inspired to make this picture mean something special to the bride and groom as well as give them a memory of where they were married. I looked at the code the winery used on the top barrel, and added this to the bottom picture:

The secret of making the text look old is to first rasterize the text layer, and then add a Gaussian blur to it to make it look old. If you have more time, you can go to each letter and hand age them.

We shot a wedding this last Saturday with Randy – what a blast this couple was!! The setting was gorgeous – the MonteVina winery in Plymouth, California.

I just got done editing the pictures down, but I have to finish a couple other projects. I’ll get a slideshow up on this in the next few days. In the meantime, go to Randy’s site, and look at more pictures there!

We were able to get into the barrel room for some shots – i can’t wait to post those!

Randy is the master! Thank you for letting us help you with this wedding!

Here is Lauren’s sister!! We took these Sunday morning after breakfast, but I’ve either been working on other projects o not on the computer. I wanted to get these uploaded tonight.

She is so sweet and cute, and we cant wait for them to be moved to Sacramento so we can spend more time with them!

I’m editing a wedding, a 50th wedding anniversary, and a photoshoot at Starbuck’s, and plan to have those pics ready to post soon. Pray for me tonight – I’m trying to get as much done as I can. It is Labor day, right? so I’m laboring tonight.

  • MEET LAUREN!

       Lauren-2  Lauren-1

Lauren is our neice….she and her family stayed with us while they are househunting. We shot some of her and her sister Kyla which we will post later.

Mark is busy doing some Honey-Do’s around the house for me today. Yippee!!! I saw some neat window treatments at IKEA the other day so we went and because of a snafu on their posted kit prices we got 300.00 worth of treatments for just over 100.00! I hope it looks good. I took some before pics and when I get the after I will post those…I am so behind in posting because for some reason when I use my Picasa program it is showing my pictures very very pixelated! SO I have to wait for Mark to load the pics from his computer and he uses another program. So these look much better than the ones I tried to post earlier.

As far as the business…we have 3 jobs that are in various stages of post processing….one of them was a job we did with Borelphoto (Randy) yesterday. A vineyard wedding! We loved doing it!!!! We are dying to look at the pics but we just have to keep things in perspective and get first things first done first!…lol!

Hope you are having a marvelous weekend!

    Love Kerri

We are passing one of the other cruise boats that launches from Zephyr Cove…we have been on that one too.

The third picture here is of a historic home called the Vikingholm House in the cleft of Emerald Bay it was so dark that they had to shine a spot light on it but it made for a neat pic!

             IMG_1001 IMG_1118  IMG_1217

This first picture is a time lapsed shot of some car headlights on the road above the Vikingholm House…we drove this road the next day and took the last three shots below…

Next day…our last trip before we drove home. These are of the bay we cruised the night before below these shots are the Vikingholm House…you cant see the house because it is directly below this road.

This was not taken with a fish eye lens this really is a road that makes this crazy corner!

Hope you enjoyed these…the quality is quite poor I guess due to Picasa….they look great otherwise!!!
