  • Before & After – finding hidden details

Here are some before and after from  the senior portrait shoot we did for our niece last week.
I wanted to show you how we found and enhanced hidden details in her pictures.

Chelsea wanted an urban look to her photo’s so we went to an area of town with some interesting walls.

This first one had some grafitti on the wall.

    BEFORE
    Chelsea-5D-(IMG_8242)-045

I changed the grafitti to match her initials:

    AFTER
    Chelsea-023

This second one had some scratched grafitti on the wall.

    BEFORE
    Chelsea-20D-(IMG_9718)-013

When I pulled up the original I saw the heart inside of it, so is took away the rest of it so only the heart remained.

    AFTER
    Chelsea-026

These are subtle changes, but ones that I felt made a real difference in the final image Putting her initials in the first one personalized the picture for her as well.
Sometimes you don’t need dramatic changes to makie an image into something memorable

  • I finally got to come by to see Chelsea’s slideshow……….BEAUTIFUL!!  She is so photogenic.  Looks like she had an amazing time.  My fave pic is the one of her by the railroad tracks with the sun shining on her……..the yellow one.  LOVED IT!!!!  Almost looked like an early morning shot!  You all are awesome at what you do……….and you only keep getting better.  The thing I love most about you is that no 2 pics are the same.  Even with all the pics you have taken……….that is incredible.  Some photographers seem to use the same poses or shots or backgrounds….that is what makes you all so unique and the subjects pics so personable……….they are their OWN originalities.  LOVE WHAT YOU ALL DO!!!  Loves and huggz to you both!!!  God has definitely blessed you both!!  Loves Kimi

  • :fun: Oh my.      I’ve got COMPITITION!    :goodjob: Great looking changes, they still look real.

  • although I have tought a photoshopclass, I am not a big fan of it for most people. however, I think you have done quite a good job there!

  • Thanks for sharing. Great results on these images!

  • photo editing has changed my whole approach to taking pictures:spinning:

  • I like the first one.  CHanging the initials was a cool idea.  Really edgy look to it.
