  • The Silva Family

Here is the slideshow for the family we took pictures of this last week. How cute is their little girl??

Rylee is 17 months old, and just adorable. We had a blast with them in the park!!

The father is the best man in one of our weddings next year for Brian & Kara. I posted their engagement slideshow before and the link to it is in the box to the left.

Have a great day! We’re off to have breakfast with our daughter and then back home to meet with a client who is picking up their GraphiStudio Wedding album!!

I stopped tonight to get a picture of our downtown on my way home from the grocery store. I have wanted to get this for days…I played with my own postprocessing that I have on my little Google program called Picasa 2. Here are a few different looks…These are not any great actions but they are free and easy…

  • Update

     Edit:

Stacey found her dog Bosco that she lost! Yay!!! Her sister took the German Shepherd and bought everything she could find for her like a bed and toys and food dishes etc…then woke up to find out that the dog climbed her fence and took off!!! So now she is making up signs to put up in her neighborhood!!! Poor girl she is lost again…Apparantly she doesnt like living outside!

It’s too bad . too it sounds like she would have had a great home there! I do hope and pray they find her and can find a way to keep her from running…

Yesterday a neighbor called me and asked me if I lost 2 dogs? I instantly figured out while Mark and Randy were outside working on Randy’s limo that they must of taken a walk. So I went down to get them. In the meantime the neighbor Stacey and I introduced ourselves. She told me she lost her dog just last night and was very worried and teary. We talked a while and then I went home with my dogs. Not much later Stacey knocks on my door with this beautiful dog. She said it just jumped into her car! Asked me if I knew where it lived. I didnt so for the next few hours Stacey and I searched and put up posters. While I was putting up mine I asked the postman if he knew where a young German Shepherd lived around here. He directed me to a house 3 blocks away. I shared this with Stacey when we met up after putting up the posters. We decided to walk to the house and see. No one answered  and no car. Stacey then took the dog home with her and we decided to check back with them in the morning. In the meantime this morning Stacey took the dog to a vet where she found that it was chipped. It turns out that she did live where we  thought.  Stacey went to a neighbors house and found that the owners are moving and cant take her with them! So the poor girl has been running the neighborhood probably because she is lonely! Let me tell you she is a BEAUTIFUL looks to be purebred german shepherd. About a year old. I would take her but I have 2 dogs already and she needs someone who will spend time training her and walking her. She walks with you very well…so she has had some training…

If you are interested in her let me know…I will mention it to the owners. I wish I had taken a picture of her! She has that sloping from the shoulders down look that German Shepherds have.

We brought in this antique sideboard from the garage where it sat when we gave it to them to store and use…on Saturday it finally had a function!
was our coffee and tea area. The table to the right of it was the dessert table where you can see the fondue pit with some square white plates. Later on it had even more sweets…a chocolate cake and a white cake as well as Jelly Bellys…

    Taken at Kelly’s Baby Shower

Randy and Mark set up a photo booth in the baby’s room and what a fun addition it was to the shower! After everyone had a chance to get acqainted and eat they all got a chance to get their picture taken with Kelly…it was sp awesome! I would like to thank Randy and my husband Mark for helping to make the shower a great day for Kelly!!

    Thank you!!!

More to come….just having a day off from Xanga….Still tired!!!!

My sister Lorri and my daughter Lindsay and I spent most of the day and late into the evening decorating Kelly’s house for the Baby Shower.

I took a quick shot of the tree while we were decorating… I wish I had taken one after we finished the tree and the fireplace mantle. Today we are going back to finish up all the other details. The food tables and the rest of the house…

I didn’t use any flash…if you know me you might know I do not like using any flash unless I have to…I like the warm ambience of a flashless photo. Unfortunately it can cause alot of noise, but fortunately I own a Canon 5D which are great for low light situations and if you have a great lens like a 2.8 you really can get some great low-light images…

     I will post more later…

  • GOOD MORNIN!!!!

I am getting ready to spend the day preparing for Kelly’s Baby Shower which is this Sat! Oh how I wish that all my Xanga friends (Frangas) could come…my sister and I are decorating it and we are going to really do it up…I will have pictures! Since I want to be part of the fun of the day Mark is going to come take pictures!!! Randy is going to help him…they are going to set up a photo booth downstairs so that people can have their pictures taken and then with Randy’s Handy Dandy Photo Machine that prints out pictures they will be able to take them home with them pretty cool!…plus they will take pictures of the party too…yay!!

I will post pictures on Sunday….in the meantime I think Mark is finally getting to start editing the latest job for a slideshow. We have had alot of finishing up of past jobs that finally got sent out today…so that is a nice feeling to put those files away.

Well I really need to get away from this thing and get to work!

    Have a really wonderful day!!!

    Kerri

PS. How many of you have your tree up? And do you use the same decorations from year to year or do you change colors or themes from year to year?

  • busy day….sad day…

I just am heartbroken that James Kim (the family who were lost in the snowy mountains of Oregon) did not make it. They found his body today. I didnt even know him but somehow he has touched my heart. When I saw the news I saw a little bit of his life with some clips of photographs and video. I am so sad for his friends and family. But what a testimony to survival and sacrifice….by both James and his wife Katie.

    God bless the Kim Family…
