7wEird fACts abOUt mE!
Okay okay I was tagged quite awhile ago and never could find the time to sit and do it until now. everyone is sleeping in since it is a Saturday morning but no I have to be awake! SO here goes…
Weird Facts about me:
1. When I eat cereal if I have too much milk left over I have to add more cereal or if I dont have enough milk I have to add it. It can get to be a few times before it works out perfectly! Wierd I know!
2. I add boiled chopped eggs to my tuna. Apparantly NOBODY does this. I learned it from my mother I think they did it like that to stretch the tuna out among the kids. I also added breadcrumbs to hamburger to make meatloaf until I realized I didnt have to add that to make a good meatloaf again I think it was to stretch the meal…
3.I love the beach but I am afraid of water.
4. I love to travel but I HATE to fly
5. I had a Grandma Bob! Okay this one needs explaining I know…My parents were deaf and my mother’s mother Grandma Bob had a name sign that was taking the palm of your hand and bumping it against the side of your head. So when my parents were teaching me her name in order to remind me of who she was they did the palm thing on the side of the head to tell me it was my grandmother who hit her head when she fell recently. Sp…. I associated the two together that the bump on the head and the sound my mother made when she was trying to say BOP referring to the bump, was close to the only name that my mother could possibly mean which was….Bob! So I turned my Grandma Marcia into Grandma BOB! and it stuck ever since. We called her Grandma Bob all of her life.
6. Another funny signing moment… the sign for COKE was taking your index finger and making it into a syringe and injecting something into your vein. Seriously I am not making it up! I can’t even imagine all the places I had signed that and what all the people around me must have thought of my parents! LOL! I think they use a new sign now…but I dont know what it is.
7. Oh! one more I just remembered . As you can tell I learned signing at a very young age…I am the oldest of 3 and being hearing with deaf parents there are alot of funny things that get lost in translation and lots of things that I invented that they jsut thought was too cute to change once they realized my immature mind and the ingenuity that sometimes comes from neccessity! Like I said earlier I love the beach…my parents made it a point to take us there quite often. When I wanted to get something across to my parents I sometimes had to improvise if I didnt know the sign or if there wasnt a sign for it. Such as the word beach. I couldnt finger spell the word yet since I was too little to spell so I came up with a word that sounded like it. Peach! Thinking they could make the connection I proudly produced the word peach when they asked where do you want to go today? Well I guess they must have figured it out at some point but I find it so sweet that till the day they both passed away we have used that sign to mean beach.
Well I guess that is my contribution to the “Write 7 weird things about yourself”" thingy that I was asked to do. Sorry Sara that I took sooo long in doing it!

#2 …. I do it too (when I have time to boil the eggs … it’s much better that way imo) and meatloaf or burgers would not be the same without bread in it.
I prob should ask Kerri to list the weird facts about me, but I’m not sure I want to see that list!
Mark
Hmm…yeah I am not sure you want me to do that! lol!
okay I think I can think of a few….be afraid Mark be very afraid! muhahahaha….

Reading about your childhood made me teary and warm inside. Although challanging, it’s sounds as though your childhood was wonderful.
I use boiled eggs in my tuna some time’s too.
Dice tomato’s is also good in it.
As for meat loaf I never used bread crubs in mine but mom always did.
I put rice and oat meal in mine sometimes I add mushrooms in it.

Those were very interesting things to know. I also add more cereal to my left-over milk a lot of the time. The first time I ever knew anyone to put chopped eggs in their tuna salad was my mother-in-law. She uses eggs, sweet pickles and SUGAR!!! To this day my kids will not eat Grandma’s tuna salad… and neither will I.
Well, I guess we are all weird too, Kerri, cause we all use boiled eggs. I don’t know anyone that doesn’t.
Love your new look!!!!
love u…
Hey, my mom uses boiled eggs too! I think we have the making of a “egg in your tuna” club here. As for the 7 facts, I don’t think any of them are weird. This is the “7 cute things about Kerri” list, right?
My mom and grandma use boiled eggs in their tuna also!! Tuna/egg sandwiches bring back good memories. Is that weird?
Yes, yes…it’s the tuna/boiled egg club! This is where you find all the cool people!
Thanks for your comment about my loveliness:shysmile:…some serious photoshop enahncement to my eyes…they are not really that green and sparkly. Oh, and my hair is not quite that red…but nearly!
me too! I like devil egg tuna too. can’t stand having tuna straight…too fishy tasting. :spinning:
We put boiled eggs in our tuna salad as well as chopped pickle.
I put toasted breadcrumbs in my meatloaf….I put lots of liquid ingredients in mine so it acts as a “binder” to hold everything together.
You need to start a “boiled egg and tuna” blogring. I use eggs sometimes, too. And I put oatmeal in my meatloaf. As far a leftover milk in the cereal bowl…down the hatch. My mother would not be proud.
I have a hearing friend whose parents are deaf. She told me the funniest story about the first time her mom realized everyone could hear her pass gas…
LOL!!! Mommyfish that is too cute!
