Alaska photography
Sitka, Alaska
I took this photo while in Sitka, Alaska with my Canon Rebel while on vacation for our 25th Anniversary in June 2005.
We were all walking along looking at the quaint little village homes when I came upon this window. It made me want to peek inside. It’s such a cheery little window!

wppi? =) sorries, im not sure what this is? =) that is a terrific photo! =)
That is a quaint picture. It reminds me of my grandparents’ house in Wisconsin, right down to the green-painted wooden siding with white trim.
I totally agree–a very cheery window. Love the photo!
Love the picture!! It’s great to come upon these kind of shots……to find beauty and simplicity in our world is always a great treasure. I just did a devotional on this verse on the 22nd…….I love that version you used…….sounds like The Message…have a great day! Christy

Matthew 6:22″ – i like that alot…thank you
I’d love to meet you too! I MIGHT go to wppi this year but I have a wedding the weekend before and after, so juggling time might be tricky. Where will you be staying?
Kerri, ryc, my main body is still the 5D. I use the 20D as a second body and also in specific situations. In this case, I wanted to travel as ”light” as possible. Since my longest lens right now is the 85mm, and because I knew I would benefit from as much “reach” as I could get, I decided to take the 20D instead of the 5D. Of course, we know that the crop factor is not really about reach, but you get my point. I also knew that I would need flash for many of the shots and didn’t feel like being weighed down by the 580EX, so the 20D’s onboard flash came in handy!
Looks like a hallmark card! Blessings:)
