A Mini-Makeover…..
We are giving our house a sprucing up…she needed some paint inside and a new face lift on the outside….at least where it is needed anyway…lol….her front porch needed replacing… you might say she needed some dental work…the last few boards on the steps were rotting from beneath. Yuck! With every rain it was getting worse. The previous owner built the house and he never treated the underside of the wood so it did what it naturally would do in that situation. We designed a bigger smile and a better looking smile! I hope she will be happy with the results!
As for the inside we painted it a warm suede color…white walls are just not warm and inviting and we want our business to feel warm and inviting. It always benefits the house and the new owners when you decide to sell. One less thing for us to do and the added blessing of not having your front entryway out of commission when you are trying to sell.
We are not interested in selling in the near future we really like our location even tho our house is small we are happy here. Now… if I was to say… win the 2007 HGTV Dream House I would be in Colorado on the next plane! lol! My dream by the way!
I wouldnt mind having two locations for our business!!!
Posting the porch tomorrow since we are elbows deep in paint right now…

Nice!
How interesting. We’re looking into moving to Colorado ourselves. Maybe we could start up a photography studio together.

Haven’t been there in years. Then we went back to Sara’s and we ate cannolies! Thanks again, Carolyn. Makes me remember how much time I actually spent on xanga!((((( HUGS )))))) Lori“
aw. our interior is about the same color. i like it b/c it goes with everything, yet i still have my white trim.
i have a thing for clean white. lol. hopefully this spring we’ll be painting the kitchen a different color to break the menotony… however you spell it… i’m not in the caring mood for spelling right now. lol. odd though b/c i always am. oh well… off to work on my craft project… lol. i actually have been painting wood last night and tonight for projects. pics will definitely come.

You are so cute
You sound like you really love your house—-

I definitely agree about the white paint versus the suede color you picked.
Looking forward to the porch er…teeth pictures.
I’m jealous… getting dental work and I’m not. LOL
Have fun!
:sunny::rolleyes:Looking GooD!
Have fun with your house painting. It always feels so good to spruce things up. I just bought (today, infact) beach house beige to paint my entry way. I am glad you are enjoying your new little grandson. He looks like his mommy.
I really love that shade of paint.
