Saturday we met Chris and Lorrie for their engagement shoot. They are gettiing married this July.
They actually met online! So, of course, they had to bring their laptops to tell that story. There is a real and deep friendship that we could see and what a joy it was to document their love story. We had so much fun with you guys!
They also went to rival colleges…everyone say…uhoh!! Texas & Oklahoma – but in spite of that they still love each other… They brought their college shirts and played some football at the end of the day.
Their dog – Preston - is a poodle/schnauzer mix and was a real sweetie and a real trooper. He loved the park and was so well behaved.
Hope you enjoyed it!

Love these models!!
We finished up tonight with our latest shoot. These models were amazing. They never complained no matter what we asked them to do. We put them through the paces, had them sit in weird positions, put hot lamps next to their faces, played with backgrounds and at one point even tempted the man with another model that his girlfriend didn’t know stumbled onto the set.
The only hard part was getting model releases….
If you want to see the results of this shoot, go ahead and scroll down….
Keep scrolling…
You can do it..
just a little more…
come on – how would you feel if these were your pictures and someone went to another site?
Here you go…

Susanna and David – Engagement shoot @ Nevada City for their June wedding at Empire Mine
What a way to start off our new wedding season!
Yesterday we met up with our first “engagment session” couple of our 2007 season! So. off we went to Nevada City. We met Susanna and David for lunch and then onto the day of taking some photographs for them. We are shooting their wedding in June. What a great couple! Susanna is our dear friend’s The Meyers’ daughter. It’s an honor to be chosen to capture their wedding day.
At the end of the shoot we went to their wedding site, the Empire Mine State Park in Grass Valley.
If you have never been there, all I can say is W.O.W. – you feel like you have been transported to Ireland. The buildings and the grounds are kept up so well we can tell that this will be one of our favorite venues. This is a sneak peek at the building they are getting married in front of:

Blue Man Group
I made it through a few of our Vegas pics tonight.
Like Kerri said in her post earlier, we were out for most of the day scouting the locations for our engagement shoot tomorrow.
Here are some pics I got of the Blue Man Group after the show – they come out to the lobby to mug for the cameras and I was able to get the three of them together for a few minutes when they were done with everyone else.
We will post pics from our engagement shoot as soon as we get thorough them. Susanna & David are such a great couple and we are excited to be able to take their pictures tomorrow. Stay tuned!!
Also – if you havent voted in the photo contest, it runs through the end of April, so click here and post your title!

Today we are heading out to Nevada City to scout some great location shots for our Engagement Session tomorrow. This couple is going to be awesome! Our very dear friends the Meyers hired us to be their daughter and her fiance’s wedding photographers and we are so honored and excited! They are a beautiful couple inside and out. Even tho we dont know them like we know her parents…I still believe the addage
” the apple rarely falls far from the tree”
usually applies. Doesnt mean right away but as our kids get older they do tend to take after us whether they like it or not or see it or not…lol. There are exceptions I know…
SO …we have caught our wind…a good sleep can do wonders! This morning Mark is learning Light Room which is a program that iis an efficient, powerful way to import, select, develop and showcase large volumes of digital images. It sounds boring to me but it is the next big thing since photoshop…lol Actually it is pretty awesome because it does way more than that. Creative things that you can do with your photographs. You can adjust your levels and other things to manipulate your images. I dont know enough tto elaborate but I am glad we have it. It is a huge program and right nowI am not so sure Mark is really too happy right now! lol
Okay enough of the boring stuff… here are a coule of photos I got at the Fashion Mall. We got there about 5 minutes before one of their fashion shows. It was really cool. The girls and the runway came up out of the floor! I have those pictures but Mark is busy like I said so I am just going to post the one he just gave me…
This was one I caught just as we were entering the mall…I really love this one. I love the angle, lighting ,movement and the name on the door.
This was one of the models. I didnt care for this dress but the other ones were really cute! I will try and post one of those soon. I also love the color the action and movement on this one.
I will be putting up random Vegas pictures hopefully on a daily basis so be sure to check in if you want to take an armchair vacation of Vegas!
Have a wonderful day!!!!
Kerri
