Love Hate relationship!
Friends,
I have a terrible case of love hate right now with my computer….it has been so freaky lately. It is hanging up on everything I try to do. When it works great I just speed along…when it gums up it takes away from my ablity to move on! I get soooo impatient with it I want to drop it off my roof! But then where would I be? So I hate it and yet I love it and need it…
Life is that way too….we want it to go smoothly every moment. We want it to move along with out any hitches…but it rarely stays in a state of bliss does it? It really tries our patience and we begin to see our hidden flaws as human beings. We desire things to go our way. We desire them to go according to our timetable. We desire them go without a hitch and we desire adoration and accolations…for work well done! Ther Bible talks about this…Do all unto the Lord…not unto man. If we dont it will only bring heartache in the end. It is a hard thing to let go We have no trust in anything but ourselves if we have that! If not then we trust no one and nothing. Ugh what a horrible place to be. There is one who is wholly turstworthy. God is the only one who knows us fully and yet understands us because of Jesus and what He did on the cross FOR us. IF He only knew all about us and didnt understand us He wouldnt truly be able to say He loves us and can help us.Ever had something horrible happen and someone says I totally understand what you are going through and they have no clue. Its like that. Jesus does know because He was one of us for 33 years here on earth. He felt everything we feel. Imagine all that He went through and yet He was God! At anytime He could have made life easier but when there is a bigger picture and plan you keep that before you and not the thing in front of you. How much of what is happening today going to affect you in 5 weeks, 5 years or Eternity?
I need to slow down and take some stock in what is truly important if this other isnt working out? I wanted to post something and I wanted to check my email.. That is different from what I was saying as I was steaming over my computer! I have to post and I have to check my email…. no…..I really dont have to I wanted to. Okay so now I check myself and ask…what do I really need to do?
Spend some time with God! I am blowing by him everyday telling Him and myself I am too busy to visit right now…catch up with you later!!!
Life is not meant to be lived on a fast track everyday with no peace, no conversations with God. I need to know what He wants to tell me for today. I need to just slow down and enjoy the fact that God in all His graciousness and love and awesomeness and all that He is which is too much for my mind to wrap around half the time, does have something to say to me. why would I not want to hear what that would be??? Am I crazy? If you lived in England say back when people revered the King or Queen (given they were kindly of course) and they requested your company to talk to you, to dine with you, to include you in some plan they had in mind…wouldnt you jump on the first haywagon and ride out there and present your peasantly self!? Yes, I need to hitch up the haywagon today and spill my guts that I havent been the best subject in the land and that I would love to know what is on their minds!
Well I better post this before I lock up again!

Have you tried rebooting? Sometimes something gets hung in memory and it won’t let go until a reboot. Also, try running Spybot and Ad-Aware if you haven’t already. Even if you have another anti-spyware program, go to http://www.download.com and get Spybot Search & Destroy and Ad-Aware SE Personal and run them on your computer. So many of the retail anti-spyware programs today allow people who pay them to keep the spyware on the computer. Spysweeper is one of the worst about this.

btw, regarding your computer, it may be time for a reformat…if that doesn’t not solve it, you have a hardware issue

Oh that Hazie! SHe always has the perfect post for me. Its kinda like my relationship with God…I stop by and read her posts and go WOW that was for me! The I toddle off and forget to stop by for like ages! Why do we do that…more specifically why do I do that!!??
I think I just heard a still small voice tell me because everything else is more important to me…OUCH!!!!!

Dimsom-That is next. I went through and cleaned out all my old email and deleted a ton of pictures that I had on my picasa program (while the computer was having a good day) so Mark could do a reformat. So looks like I will be without my computer a little while longer… : ) see I am smiling….:wink: I can do this….lol

I loaded Norton Internet Security 360 on my computer last week and had nothing but problems…it completely ate up my processor which began to flatline at least four times a day, meaning I had to shut down and restart each time. So I removed it and now things are back to normal.
Meanwhile…George just came in the door and told me there’s a package for me…FROM YOU!!! So I’m gonna run now and go open it up…woohoo!!!

=) i reformat my machine a couple times a year, just to keep it clean. i’m an IT geek =P and ryc, no, i’m here in SoCal…but i always like taking a drive up to SF area, it’s a nice break from LA/OC-ish area
Btw, I’ve met dimsom aka Victor…very nice young man, generous with his knowledge, and he’s a tech wizard!

You said you cleaned out all of your old e-mail. Do you have your computer set to save sent mail? If so, did you remember to clean out that folder as well? I always tend to forget that one. I also have an employee who tends to forget that you have to empty the recycle bin or that stuff is still sitting on your computer, too.
Oh yeah, and that is a VERY SEXY pic of you and Mark on the profile. You guys both look so stylish and attractive there.
I can relate to this post on so many levels. My computer is still locking up
….very frustrating when you wish to get things done quickly so you can get more time with your family! I found that my issue is not software related and now I have to identify if it is the wireless network card, video card or memory. Oh the fun and expense! Good luck to you!
On the other note, I think alot about times when Christ was alive. Although he as a carpenter on this earth, his main “job” was teaching the rest of us. How wonderful it would have been to follow him from city to city listening to his words. I can’t even imagine if he were here in this time. Would we have the “time” to follow him now? To sit down on the side of a hill (or i guess in a park today) and just listen to him? So many of us have a hard time just finding time to pray on a daily basis! Our family has had to schedule in times to spend with each other to discuss family, heavenly father and our purpose here on earth. At first it was a little difficult to stop focusing on our “to do list”, but eventually we actually started looking forward to our Monday family home evening and our Sundays of rest.
