Location Scouting….
It is hard to be without your camera! My camera shut down on me midway through Audra and Evan’s shoot. Luckily we always have 2 or 3 of us on the job. But now I feel we need to get another 5 for back up. In the meantime I had to send mine to Canon on Tuesday and probably wont get it back until mid week. We fortunately have a 3 day turn around program for professional photographers with Canon. Sooo worth it, since we have 2 weddings next weekend. Thus starts the ’07wedding season for us.
Mark is in LA right now….he is with our son-in -law on business. I will be sharing all that soon….its all pretty exciting! I’ll let him post when he gets back…
But for now, I am going to suffice with some random photos from my Picasa archives….taken while scouting locations.

We spent the other day scouting for great spots for each of our wedding couples in and around their venues….this was outside to the right of where Lorri and Chris will be saying their vows!
Found this old piano hanging out in the hallway of their wedding venue…
This is a beautiful flowering grass of some kind that was outside of their venue… I just love the colors on this and how well the background is blown out….

Sooo hard when equipment fails! Love that last picture.
I’m feeling your pain…my camera has become my sidekick now that my daughter is severing the umbilical cord :p
I’d have to borrow a camera if my has to ever go in for repairs.
Nice to see another side of your photographic talent. These are so peaceful
=) sorry to hear about your camera…it does feel weird without it huh? hope you get it back with no major issues =)

ive been meaning to ask what canon bodies do you guys use? i know mark bought that 5D way back but just curious! ive been shooting with my 30D. im selling my rebel and thinking about saving for the 5D too or perhaps just buy another 30D or wait for the 40D whenever that comes out haha!
such peaceful shots…great as usual!
I’m definitely dreading if something happens to one of my cameras on a shoot…you can never be too prepared.
oh…and the Canon Corporate office in Irvine is right next to my office so if you need me to track anything down for you I can drive down the street.
So sorry about your camera. It is hard to be with out it… was it your 5D? Is your Empire Mine wedding this weekend? Good luck with both of them!!! Can’t wait to see the photos.
I really liked the photograph of the flowering grass…RYC The flowers are called proteas and they are indigenous to Africa, particularly South Africa where I live. The only other place that some varieties grow are in Australia I believe. ~Colleen~
