  • The Flower Farm Loomis, Ca.

    Brian and Kara Raymond!

We so enjoyed this couple from the moment we met them to the day of the wedding. Kara is such a down to earth, fun girl. I loved photographing her getting ready. Her friends were great and so helpful and laid back.I love it when the bride is actually enjoying her wedding day…

    Brides to be…take note!

Great idea no. 1:  Kara had 2 big trays of finger food brought in. Very smart and thoughtful of her and it helps to keep her from passing out on us! lol

Great idea no. 2: After the wedding they stepped into the reception to join everyone for a toast and a “welcome”. They told everyone to enjoy their meal while they went out for about an hour with their photographers for pictures. It was so thoughtful to the guests and to you know who! Why?…because now their minds are not on those waiting at the reception because they have toasted with them and they are back there happily eating and enjoying themselves!

Since it was a pretty hot day, we took them inside the Flower Farm’s very cool Bed and Breakfast to cool off and take some pictures. Then we headed around the property and gorgeous shade trees. It gave us so much more relaxed time with them…it is always a give and take when it comes to the “after wedding bride and groom shots” because they want to head for the reception and RELAX! So do we! Which brings me to…

Bride tip! Don’t skimp on your couple shots. That seems to be the area that most seems to get cut short because of heat and or exhaustion or anxiety to get going to the reception or last but not least the formals taking too long. Decide what is more important to you, then make sure your photog knows!

Brian and Kara….Have a Happy, Full and Blessed Life!!!!

Can’t wait to get busy on the album!
