  • 101 in 1001

Here is a fun thing I have begun seeing this around the photography forum that I frequent. Its called 101 in 1001. Basically it refers to writng down 101 things you ever hope to do and do them within 1001 days. I am going to try and be realistic with my abiilties. I suffer with fibromyalgia and have some really down days like right now which might be why I am coming at this great idea with real caution. I dont want to disappoint myself by reaching for the stars and coming out with a disappointing number on day 1001. Been there done that with all the broken New Year Resolutions.

  • How fun it that list….. Hope you and yours have a blessed new year and that God continues to reveal himself to you guys in ways you never thought possible… You can pray for me…. My first wedding is next week… I’m a bit nervous.

    Daniel

  • Wow!  That’s quite a list girl. And I thought my list from last year was long!

The slide show of Jayden was fantastic!  Didn’t you just love the grandparent part of Christmas?  Wait till he gets old enough to start giving you a Christmas list.  I’m going to have to start saving way early now that I have 4 grandbabies, plus all my other adoptees.

Blessings for a super great 2008!

  • Good for you! I don’t even want to think about the zillion things I should put on a list! :)

Hope you guys had a happy New Year! We enjoyed our time in Chicago and visited some friends at JPUSA. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see the Davis family.

  • Oh my gosh Kerry, that list looks like a life long wish list of things to do, oh wait….we do that much stuff almost everyday just with our families and wedding clients.:giggle:

:fun:The great thing about making a list like you did is you can see everything better and take your time with it, it dosent mean it all has to be done right away, it can take years if need be. I like the last one best, it sums this entire list up…:heartbeat:”pleasing God and not ourselves” now thats all we really need, is’nt it?:goodjob::sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny::wave:

  • Have you tried yoga?  I have people in my classes that have fybromalysia that say it really helps them…  I may do the 101 things on my site too…great idea!!!  Love You, Charlotte

  • Hey, I just read through this again and noticed the “get wedding published in a magazine” – what!? When? Where? Details!

  • wow…that’s quite the list. I don’t think I can even come up with that many…=)
You already have two completed and it’s only 3 days into the year…you’re easily going to complete these.

  • I LOVE THIS LIST!!!!! So many would be on mine. I have a vision board and it’s so great to see it every day and be reminded of what’s on my goals for the new year! I hope that each and every one of these goals come to fruition for you!!!! xoxoxox :heartbeat: :heartbeat: :heartbeat: Dawn

  • Hi Kerri,

I’m sure it won’t take 50 years to get all your goals accomplished. You already have accomplished some!!!! I love your list! It’s very inspiring!

ryc: The DVD should be out soon! It’s so much work to get it done. It’s going to be really great. We’re also putting on a real DREAM wedding/workshop Saturday, March 15th and Sunday March 16th in Vegas. We’re very excited about it. It’s an actual wedding Bob is photographing and we’re inviting 40 other photographers to shoot with him. I just created a flyer for the Imaging show in Tampa. GraphiStudio is sponsoring it. I see you have Red Rock Canyon on your goals! It might be something you are interested in! Have a beautiful day Kerri!!!!

    :heartbeat: :heartbeat: :heartbeat: :heartbeat:

    Love,
    Dawn

Here’s the text from the flyer…

Have YOU ever wanted to photograph an actual DREAM WEDDING with the most amazing couture dresses, birdcage veil, whimsey cake, and all the perfect details? How about a “Trash The Dress” session the day after the wedding? And all of this happening in the Red Rock Canyon and the boneyard of the Neon Museum in Vegas with a bride and groom who want you to have it all.

Be one of only 40 photographers to participate in the workshop of a lifetime with BOB DAVIS leading the way.

Leave your pens and pencils behind and bring what you love… your cameras! Bob will show you how he gets the shot mastering your flash and camera settings. Learn how Dawn Davis does album/book design and receive a GraphiStudio discount towards a portfolio book featuring your destination wedding work to show your future clients.

  • Oh, my….I can’t even think of 101 things. Maybe my brain is in a fibro fog right now. I can relate to the fibro.

I hate to see brides trash the dress. I’ve saved mine.

I don’t know if you do this or not, but the photographer that did our wedding, offered free first photos for the first baby of the couple. We never took them up on it, but I wish we had.

  • Hey girl…if you go to the site below..that is my proposal and project

    http://www.donorschoose.org/donors/proposal.html?id=142954&z..0

The meeting went well yesterday!!  YAY!!

    Love Ya,

    Charlotte

  • Quite the list there! Great thing about writing it down is that you can always refer back to it to check your progress (or lack thereof). It’s great to be ambitious because it takes a lot of hope and faith!

  • I have a Bible-in-a-Year tool that might help with #81. http://www.geocities.com/launate/bibleyear.htm I set it as my homepage so it’s the first thing that comes up. You will not be able to do each reading every day, every year but I bet if you sorta stick to it over 3 years you will have read the entire Bible.

  • What a nice list.  I saw this and tried it but I already have a list that was due like a couple of weeks ago so I got very overwhelmed.

I am off a few days this week so call me if you get a chance.

    Happy New Year,

    Robin
