  • Hit a goal…

One of my personal goals is to lose weight and I just hit one of my tiered goals. I am now 15lb less than I was on Jan.4th. So here I am a tad bit lighter and alot healthier! My plan of action started with joining Weight Watchers. In the first 2 weeks I suddenly realized that 3 amazing things happened to me.

    1. I have had heartburn for the last 8 years.
    2. I have had acid reflux for the last 3 years.
    3. I have had sleep apnea for the last 13 years.
    4. Fibromyalgia symptoms began about 4 years ago.

    1-2 are completely gone!
    3. I have had one eopisode in the last 8 weeks and that was because I ate a late dinner and cheated and had some chocolate covered cherries! SO now I know I cant do that!
    4. This is getting better now with the walking and vitamins and minerals I take daily.

I am so happy about all this and am looking forward to the next 15lbs. which is my next tier. I think at that point I will have to buy the new clothes. So that will be a great incentive and reward!

I lose and gain weight in my face alot so this is a pretty good indicator that I can see that YES, I have lost weight!

If you are healthy Stay Healthy! If you aren’t I hope you take the time now to do something about it. I can’t tell you how all those symptoms affected my thoughts everyday and my subconsciousness. This is a big shot of reality for me that how we eat makes a big difference! The last year of my life I was killing myself with the wrong foods! Now I am eating to live not living to eat.

    Love Kerri

We got a treadmill…haven’t used it yet but good intentions abound. :nono:

  • @jfoxphoto - thanks so much Jessica! Go for it! I just gave away mine. It was in sad shape I put it out on the deck and it got rained on and ended up doing something wacky to the electrical…sniff sniff! So for now I will just walk the neighborhood. Its free, too!

  • :( Oh sure…I just get back from shopping and pigging out at Johnny Carino’s Italian and I read your blog! I just finished off a 1/2 loaf of their wonderful bread, a ceasar salad and my main coarse Chicken encrusted with balsomic garlic oil and baked huge cheese filled giant tortalinni’s and for desert 2, count them 2 giant fudge browie cakes smothered with chocolate syrup and vanilla bean ice cream!!!

Oh, Laura just had a vegi italian salad and a cup of tea. That’s why she is thin and I am…how you say? FAT!

    Calorie Count: $#!?!!!

Its Weight Watchers for me starting next week.

  • It takes the right motivation to make WW work for you — I’ve never been successful with their program, particularly after they started playing with the original “exchanges” concept.  Keep up the good work!              Janet

  • W.O.W.That’s all I can say. I’ve had the privilege of watching my wife liquify her figure in real life!! (That’s for all the photoshop junkies out there…)

Seriously, it’s been amazing to watch Kerri’s dedication pay off. Lately there have been a couple times she’s walked into a room and in my peripheral vision I didn’t recognize her!! I am seeing less of her each day!

More important than the appearance issues is the fact that the health issues that hae plagued her for years are going away.

Keep posted for more pictures as the adventure continues!!

  • @lydellphoto -

Oh make me cry why dont you! You have been my best cheerleader if I can call a guy that! You have been my best support person other than my very good friend Donna who joined 2 weeks ago. So we are doing this together!

  • i’ve been sleeping with a cpap machine for more than fifteen years too!

  • RYC:  I do feel much better….I got my start in January by doing a “Whole Body Cleanse”…..just eating fruits/veggies, chicken/fish type foods and I haven’t touched sweets or pop since!!!  Eating right has so many benefits!!

  • @lelandwong -

Wow I never went to the Dr. for mine or I probably would have been on one. I am so glad to be over it! I just have to keep an eye on what I eat and when. Which has great benefits over and above the weightloss!

    Kerri

  • @Bumblypick -

Yeah I dont eat much red meat at all anymore. I eat fish and chicken but mostly fish (salmon). I used to never eat veggies or fruit much and now I juice both together every morning with my oatmeal. It has become my standard practice now. I get up drink a cup of Green Tea then I eat my oatmeal drink my juice and take my 1 mile walk. Then my work day begins. Its a great start!

It sure feels good for sure I love not having to eat rolaids everyday!!

    Kerri
