Tim and Kelly are married!
We arrived at David Girard Vineyards on Saturday around 2:00 pm with the wildest weather. As the afternoon progressed and we realized their gorgeous ceremony setting was going to have to be moved into the reception tent we knew this was going to be a minute by minute decision day. It poured for the couple of hours while they changed gears and set the tent up for a wedding as well as the reception site. We couldnt even hear ourselves talk as the rain pounded the tent walls and roof. When Kelly and the bridesmaids arrived and were ready for their shots the rain let up slightly so I could get them out on the balcony, all my shots I had envisioned had to be changed. The day was anything if not a day of letting go and accepting whatever the weather dictated. Kelly was the best trooper bride ever! She went with the flow even tho her dream ceremony spot was covered in water. Of course the rain stopped just before the ceremony! lol…but it was still rather cold so when it came time to do the formals the grass was soaking and the girls were chilled. When it came time to take Tim and Kelly out for their private moments at the vineyard by their original ceremony site, barrel room and around the lake, the sun was beginning to break through, it was rather lovely. Here is just one of those shots, of course as Mark makes his way through all the images we will show you the slideshsow!
Arent they the gorgeous?!

:coolman: Look…I know you all very well. You could take a bag full of clay and are able to shape it, and create from it the very finest finished product. They are going to love the images you created for them! I think having the rain made you all even more creative and I can’t wait to see the beautiful web show Mark creates.:spinning:
That sure is a beautiful dress. The picture is good too. :sunny:

It was a gloomy day but it made for great nature shots with all the wet dark wood, etc….

Randy that was so sweet of you to say all that…it was challenging but I think we all had a good time and we are excited to process the rest.

LOL… that’s okay.
Are you having a hard time viewing my site? I did some locks to be able to limit viewers. I had too much nonsense traffic!
They ARE beautiful! I love the brides bouquet!!!!! Well done on the flexibility side!

I am sure you got great shots. I heard it is good luck to have rain on your wedding day.

They are a wonderful couple~~ Thanks for your message..it has been a crazy four days for me…lots of emotions and feelings…and rethinking choices I have made…and LOTS of prayer asking God to show me the right path…. I can’t wait to get away and see you guys..
@dimsom - so true! I wish I had a black umbrella that I could have used with them…I love black umbrellas!
@joyfulphotography - You are so right! We were actually talking about that with the bride and groom while we were walking around with them. I wonder what they say about windy weddings! Mark and I had that situation when we got married.lol!
@portiajules - Hey girl! It is going to be so cool to actually sit and talk when you get here! I am sure you have alot going on in your head. Tal soon…
Sorry to hear about the gloomy weather! That must have presented quite the challenge…which I’m sure your team was more than up for! Look forward to the slideshow.
Well, that’s just my “vacation” home
I’m looking forward to the workshop. Things got so hectic in the past year and a half, but a few people nudged me to do it.
Great shot! Looking forward to the rest.
I was scheduled to do an engagement session this past Saturday as well but I was able to reschedule because of the rain.
@ShutterbugTim - you know I really actually loved the weather. I hate the heat so this was so nice for me! Plus I love rain. But I felt bad for Kelly and Tim. As you know the overcast sky is like a big soft diffuser so what is not to like? lol Have fun at your next class! I am serious about videotaping it!!! You are such a master at exposure and we all can always learn from each other!
@backlightphoto - Thanks!! Mark gave me this one to post because he didnt want to give any of the ones away that he is keeping for later…
Beautiful!
