  • Sneak Peek! Jamiie & Joaquin – Sacramento State Capitol

Jamie & Joaquin were married two weekends ago on one of the wettest day we’ve had so far…yikes!! Luckily their wedding was indoors, and the skies cleared up after the wedding just long enough to get outside for some pictures before heading to the Firehouse Restaurant in Old Sacramento for their reception.

    Here is a sneak peak!

  • Now, that looks like the preview of a Fairy Tale wedding!!!  Oh, it takes me there. lol! Thank goodness that though I never had that kind, God gave me an imagination and your beautiful pictures and videos to take me there! Aren’t I blessed? Woohoo! I absolutely love the bride’s (I’m SURE she picked it out, lol) theme/backdrop for the preview you posted! Tis all I need to take me there!

Oh, and RYC regarding the tattoos, after going to the shop, I think I’m all talk, rofl. After looking at some of their pictures, I just would hate if they could not get the color like the color in the picture I posted! I’m VERY picky, girl, lol! Oh, and I’m sure you’ve heard, but you can go to a laser treatment center and have those tattoos you don’t like either covered up with new ones you do like or just colored in. I used to work at a laser treatment center is how I know, :) Just in case you thought there was no hope, :)

    Love you, girlie!

  • Thanks you guys! Take our word for it it poured this day. It just happened (hmmmm) to lift while Mark got out to get these. :spinning:

  • Ditto on what Kerri said….It was unbelievably wet that day…the reception was crazy, but the bride and groom were so happy, and the guests were all having a good time – they didn’t let weather get them down!

And as for that gap, We were so blessed that God gave us a break in the weather there long enough to get outside for a few shots – it really helped lighten all of our spirits! And that limo her family rented was amazing!!

  • these are sooooo AWESOME..how beautiful!!!!!  These are some of your best background shots… :sunny:

  • Beautiful!  I love any shots showing rain or had been raining.  Sorry I am so behind on your posts.  Just so busy like everyone else I am sure.

  • Oh..did I mention that these are PERFECT in every way!! You guys rock…

  • WOW! Those images are awesome! Each of those could be a canvas enlargement. I shot a wedding that weekend as well but I didn’t have the great backdrop and the luck of having the rain stop while the sun was still out.

  • @JUSTAVAPORHERE - I LEFT YOU A MESSAGE ON YOUR SITE….

@Borelfoto - I should have taken a pic of the pool of water that our table sat in. We were in a dip in the courtyard. It took me all night to warm up and dry out…I wish I had rain boots on!

@Shutterbugd - Oh thanks now I am gonna be singing that song all day! Hey isn’t it It never rains in ”Southern” california?

@portiajules - Oh give us some great backgrounds! We love it when we have blessings like that!

@robinmichelini - Hi Robin!! I miss you. I always love our loong talks on the phone and when we get to gether. Any chance we can go and just spend the day together and do some fun shooting? I also still want to do the Day Lab stuff.

@mommyfish - Awww thanks Nancy! I am still reveling in the memories of our get away. I gotta get the pics of our dinner up!

@backlightphoto - Oh I miss my So. Cal friends! So happy to see you. That was a memorable rainy saturday in general, but to shoot a wedding or even have a wedding on that day was pretty wild.

  • Hi Kerri,

Wow, these are lovely shots.  I especially like the first one, you were so lucky that the rain cleared long enough for you to get the outside shots before the reception.  Don’t you know!  It always rains when you don’t want it to.

I know, cats have a way of making their thoughts known, don’t they.  It’s harder to read dogs isn’t it.
