Emily & T.J. met us last year and we just fell in love with them. After getting all the booking details out of the way we had fun discussing their thematic engagement session. We caught them cooking in the kitchen and playing outside on their bikes, then off to their their friends’ ranch where we got some rockin’ sunset images. Make sure to check out the slideshow of that day on the side bar to the left.Fast forward to their wedding day at Avio Vineyards in Sutter Creek. The day was absolutely amazing, the view behind them was stunning, and the sunset at the end of the day was a photographer’s dream! Not to mention a beautiful bride and a handsome groom!
Oh, and the girl can dance!!! Check it out!

@SingingMom - I know! Her shoes knocked me out, too.
@Borelfoto - Thanks Randy! As you know sometimes it just all comes together and this was definitely one of those. It was such a beautiful spot, too!
@Shutterbugd - thank you, thank you, thank you! Hey it is 45 derees here today, you guys must be even colder!!
This might sound like a silly question, but I’m curious….do you guys do very many weddings in churches? They mostly seem to be in vineyards or flower farms. :wha: :giggle:
@SingingMom -
That’s not a silly question…It seems like here in California most weddings are either outdoor or at a venue. (At least the couples who contact us…) There are some church weddings, but it seems like those are less and less these days. It’s kind of a regional thing. In many part of the country where weather is much more unpredictable there are a lot more church weddings.
We’re just as happy – the lighting inside many churches is poor. In addition a lot of churches have restrictions on wht we can do inside the church, such as where we can shoot from during the ceremony.
We love shooting at vineyards which means that more of our referrals come from brides looking at those slideshows which is why it prob seems all we do is shoot outside. We have three more weddings to post up in the next month – One is a church wedding, and the other two are outside weddings (but not a vineyard…)
Just beautiful! The bride’s shoes and dress are gorgeous. You got some awesome photos of the bride before the wedding. I also love that she has a guy in her bridal party. Last but not least, it was just so sweet the look the groom always gave when looking at his bride.
Great job on putting the slideshow together. I know they take a lot of thought and timing
I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! I know that you guys do beautiful work but this just far surpasses any expectations I ever had about how my wedding pictures would look. I am now trying to think of different photos T.J. and I might need so that we can use you guys again!! I can’t say “Thank You” enough. I have been watching it over and over on a daily basis! :heartbeat:
@lydellphoto - well at the moment… ahem.. it’s a whopping 37 deg…. hot! heehee 8:40 PM Saturday night…. beaaaaautiful today.. crisp but pretty pretty… I took my Nikon out with us when we went for a cruise about 30 mi north… ewwww purty purty… I can’t find my card reader and this blasted stick isn’t ‘recognized’ every once in awhile.. I’m about ready to break it in half… ^&*%$# rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…. my card ready thingamajig is still packed somewhere…. *WHINE*
@Mrs. Ferrari -” I am now trying to think of different photos T.J. and I might need so that we can use you guys again!!” Hahaha…think “aftershoot” in SF or Vegas! Get dressed up again in your wedding clothes but we go somewhere really different and cool like the SF beach or in the Venice gondola boat ride in Vegas, where we have a more relaxed atmosphere than a tight wedding schedule. OR a first anniversary date where we go somewhere really amazing and capture the evening from behind potted plants in our trenchcoats and sunglasses. hahaha….
Hi Kerri,
Beautiful images, I love the photojournalistic feel to them. I especially like the black and white image of them behind the window with the little girl. I bet they loved the photos.
Christine
Those shoes made me gasp! I’m not a shoe person- I have big feet. And on my wedding day I wore embroidered ballet slippers. However, IF I was a shoe person, I would have loved a pair like that. Amazing.
Oh, and as usual your photos were amazing. :fun:
@christineguthrie - I love a good catch like that too. Thanks Christine! WE totally loved this wedding.
@jondacrafts - LOL!! I wanted to make sure to get her shoes in alot of shots. SHe adored them and showed me them online when we showed up at their house for their engagement pictures. But when I saw them for real I was WOWed! Thanks for the sweeet comments!
Wow…I had to look at all 173 pictures, lol.
You shouldn’t get paid for this one, lol…You had a beautiful couple, was too easy, lol,
She was the most beautiful bride I think I’ve seen, for sure the most photogenic!!! And her hubby, looks like a Chippendale to me, lol,
I feel like I know these couples sometimes. Am extremely grateful you all let us share in their happy day. It always reminds me how beautiful love truy is, especially when you see a couple glow as these two did,
What an amazing dress…ok..I LOVE HER SHOES..I WANT HER SHOES..the photos are amazing~~
@JUSTAVAPORHERE - A Chippendale? hahaha and just how do you know what they look like??? You are so funny and I am sure they would love to read your sweet comments!
@portiajules - Ya! I saw her shoes online when we did their engagement session…I was thinking of all sorts of ways to shoot them cause they deserved their 10 minutes of fame!
I’m guilty, ((Kerri)), lol. When I was younger, I simply had to go see them. Haven’t been able to strike the visual from my mind, since, rofl,
, and The LA Calendar men…they rocked, too, rofl,
I can still see the one in the Marine outfit (throws water on my face), lol,
O…M…G!!! this was an epic slideshow LoL…I had to dance to the last track LoL!!! and it’s 8 in the morning and my feet are frozen…but now I feel thawed out ready for work LoL Not to mention the bride is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO beautiful!!!, now her last name is Ferrari…a good match I say…=) Awesome job on a lot of the shots, really beautiful!!! I have some learning to do!
