Wow we just spent the last 2 days rearranging the office!
Its been a while since Mark and I have done any rearranging of stuff in the house. Mostly because it is so small and there are only a handful of configurations you can do when you have that limitation. But I think it turned out really well and not only does it look good but it is functional. You know sometimes those things dont go hand in hand! lolWe completely flipped the office and dining room. The dining room table is now where the office was and vice versa. It really opened up the place. Instead of Mark working inside of a hutch he is now working at a flat desk so now he doesn’t feel like a hermit! That hutch is now holding all of our albums for couples to look at when they come for their appointments.
Meantime as we have been disrupting the house with moving an entire office 8 feet to the right and the dining room 8 feet to the left, Mark has been completely hooked with Ancestry.com! He recently met a second cousin twice removed while she was visiting Sacramento. She had some information about Mark’s father’s side. Well that did it! He has now become a detective! Maybe when we retire from wedding photography we can become detectives! I always admired Nancy Drew when I was young. lol
It is amazingly warm out here in Sacramento these days!!! My flowers are wanting to return and it isnt spring yet….
Now I gotta an album to finish and onto the next one after that…I am sure Mark will be busy getting settled into a new routine at his new desk I am sure he will be doing that with one hand on the keyboard checking in the genealogy stuff…

WOW! I love the new arrangement. Good job! It really looks open and clean. I bet you found a few dust bunnies you’d been missing, huh? I love being able to clean a corner or two that hasn’t seen the light of day in awhile…we’re due here for sure. Isn’t this weather awesome? I’m concerned for needing rain, but heck, taking a hike ain’t so bad either. BTW, George got an MRI done which proved he has a herniated disk. Poor guy…but now they can proceed to treat it accordingly. Hopefully he’ll be back on his feet in a few weeks.
Isn’t it fun to rearrange and make things more workable — I need to do that in my spare bedroom/office too — my winter project, if we ever get to winter!
Every thing looks nice and it does look like you have more room now. I’ll be rerangeing things around here after Liz moves out next month. It’s going to be alot of work that’s for sure. And then get all these rooms painted this spring Desi’s room will be the 1st one to do.
I’m worried that the warm weather is going to make the plants think it’s Spring…and then a mean frost will kill them off. It’s got to stay cold for a couple more months!

@mommyfish - Oh poor George…I hope you guys find the right road for that. And yes, I found plenty of dust bunnies. They sure like electrical equipment and corners!! I love the rain but I have enjoyed this mild weather too…anything but that simmer heat!
@slmret - Yes we used to do alot of rearranging when we lived in our Victorian years ago. We had so much space then! Yes, what has happened to winter?? I think it has all moved to the Midwest and Northeast!
@MJ10554 - Thanks Mickie…sounds like spring will find you painting and organizing. It sure feels good when you are done but wow it can be tiring!!! :giggle:
@Launate - Yes, I can see all my potted flowers getting fooled! I just hope my new trees dont fall for it, too!

Wow we have been busy getting organized in lots of other ways since we redecorated. You know once you pull a thread!! It is great and I am feeling uplifted by doing it.
We also have been getting addicted to something lately which I will have to share in one of my next posts so stay tuned!!

Very nice set up!! I have that same table… well almost… no chair pads…
but we saw that one… 
Looks very nice. And having worked out of my home for 29 years, I sure helps having clients come by…keeps things looking nice in at least part of the house!
