  • I love it when the delivery truck delivers a pkg from Italy!

Today was exciting as the Fed Ex truck brought us a package from Italy. That always means a wedding album has arrived! Kyle and Kristy Mowry’s album is now sitting on our dining room table and it is beautiful! I love seeing how all the images come together for the final wedding story.

Here are a couple of shots I took. Once they pick up their album I always wish I had taken pictures of it. We did order an extra parent album size in the silk which we hadnt ever tried before. We were discouraged by a photographer to not use them because they can get stained. We wanted to see one and feel it and so we ordered one. It is beautiful!!!  I love the big one we ordered for the couple but I really like this one, too! Its hard to tell the difference in these photos but the one sitting in the briefcase is a shiny cover and the smaller other one is a silk material cover.

If you want to see the whole album scroll back up to Albums under Kyle and Kristy.

  • What 4th of July weekend!

We had a great weekend for the 4th – After finishing up the slideshow for Michelle & Erik we took off a couple days for a well-needed rest. Nothing but sleeping in, laying around, eating and relaxing! Our friends Ned & Donna with their son Phillip were over for the weekend.

Kerri worked like crazy this last week to get our deck ready not only for this weekend but for us to relax during our break in the wedding season:

Mark & Ned started the afternoon out on the grill getting the grub ready for eating!

We started the afternoon by feasting ourselves on Ned’s WONDERFUL ribs and Mark’s delicious salmon.

Later on we settled in for
the fireworks that take place right around the corner from our house.
Kerri and Donna stayed at home and she got some great shots from the
    front yard:

    Ned, Lindsay,
Brian, Phillip and I ventured over into the crowds to find a spot to
enjoy the show and snap some shots. Here is a mixtures of shots Lindsay
    and I grabbed:

    Michelle & Erik

What a joy to shoot this couple and their family and friends! Its always so fun to be able to finish a slideshow and watch the whole day unfold again. This was an overnight job for us and what fun it was to show up at the hotel and find a huge basket of goodies there with 3 stealth delivery girls! The mom, the sister and the bride herself were leaving just as we arrived. It was my first time getting to meet them so I didnt even know who they were when we walked up. Right away I knew this would be wonderful family, hence a wonderful experience and wedding! And it was!

    Happy 4th of July …enjoy!

Erik and Michelle have a blessed , long, happy, and healthy marriage!

  • Jim and Marni Sneak Peek at David Girard Vineyards

Jim & Marni were surrounded by friends and family at David Girard Vineyards as they exchanged their vows on a Saturday afternoon.

What a great day – the blue skies broke through the smoke after days of a thick cover and no rain or thunderstorms!!

Jim and Marni opted for all the benefits of a reveal and early family shots which allowed for lots of extra time with them later. All that was left to do right after the ceremony was the big group shot. With that all done ahead of time we were able to release everyone to the reception while we got Jim and Marni alone with their Maid of Honor Veronica and the Best Man Sebastian for the bride and groom shots. It was so relaxed and such a nice way to keep the day from bogging down with a lot of formals right smack in the middle of the wedding day flow.

We really enjoyed meeting your families and friends and spending your very special wedding day with you.

Looking forward to editing all those images!
Have fun on the honeymoon and we’ll talk when you get back!

  • David Girard Vineyards

Kelly & Tim were married last month at David Girard Vineyards!

When we arrived at David Girard Vineyards that day there was the wildest weather happening…

As the afternoon progressed and we realized their
gorgeous ceremony setting was going to have to be moved into the
reception tent. It poured for the couple of hours while they changed gears and set
the tent up for a wedding as well as the reception site.

When Kelly and the bridesmaids arrived and were ready for their shots
the rain let up slightly so Kerri could get them out on the balcony.

The day was anything if not a
day of letting go and accepting whatever the weather dictated.

    Kelly
was the best trooper bride ever!
    She went with
the flow even tho her dream ceremony spot was covered in water. Of
course the rain stopped just before the ceremony! lol…but it was
still rather cold so when it came time to do the formals the grass was
soaking and the girls were chilled.

When it came time to take Tim and
Kelly out for their private moments at the vineyard by their original
ceremony site, barrel room and around the lake, the sun was beginning
to break through, it was rather lovely.

Tim & Kelly, have a long, healthy, happy & blessed marriage – thank you for letting us be part of it!

  • La Provence Restaurant in Roseville, California!

We absolutely love our referral brides. Danielle was one of the bridesmaids at Susanna and David’s wedding last year so they just had their first anniversary – Happy Anniversary you two lovebirds! We saw you at this wedding! lol. Anyway we loved meeting up with Mike and Danielle for their engagment session and couldn’t wait to do their wedding. Their wedding was yesterday and we had a blast! Not only did we get to see Susanna and David again but we got to see another bridesmaid Gina that was in Susanna’s wedding as well! Sweet!

The wedding was held in Roseville at La Provence Restaurant – what a setting! We cannot say enough about La Provence and their wonderful coordinator Raquel and the staff there! Over and above!!!

The weather was great – the day before it was 106! The high ended up being (only?) 95ish but there was a cooling breeze all day and that night it was down in the 70′s – perfect June wedding weather. We also had a surprise visit from our good friend Randy! He lives very close to this venue and just finished a wedding so he stopped in to see us. I put my 5D with a 70-200 on it in his hands so he shot for a few minutes with us. I hope his Nikon brain didnt have a meltdown!

We can’t wait to show you their pictures as their whole bridal party was so much fun and the families were great – We loved meeting everyone!

Mike and Danielle we loved shooting your wedding and we wish you two a long happy and healthy marriage. Cause your granddaughter has to give you her bouquet when you have your 80th birthdays!

Mark & Brian are still madly editing away and closing in on the next slideshow for Tim and Kelly which will be posted in the next few days.
Mark was sick last week so that put him a few days behind, but thankfully he felt better for the wedding on Sunday.

Keep checking back with us for new posts and the next slideshow!

  • Dave’s Birthday!

Today we celebrated our son-in-law Dave’s birthday!

What a fun day – EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT IT WAS TOO STINKIN HOT!
When we first got into the car the thermometer read 115 degrees!! Then it “cooled” down while we drove.

Dave and Kelly invited some of their friends over for the day also – one of them had a little son around the same age as Jayden – Cyrus. what a cutie!!

Jayden hasn’t had any other little kids over at his house so it was a new experience for him of having someone else playing with his toys! All of us have our first encounters with “sharing” and wondering how we feel about it…

And what’s a birthday party without some cake! The cake on the right is a special Vegan cake that Lindsay made to help celebrate our Anniversary – it was delicious!!

And Dave got his cake with special sprinkles he LOVES….

We gave Dave a birthday present he and his family could use in their back yard on those hot days when they need some shade:

Then we drove home and were rewarded with a special sight along the way:
