So Jay was over today, and I finally sat down to get a shot of him I’ve been planning, but of course he would have no part of it…so here is the first attempt, and I’m sure there will be more.
Have you ever seen the movie “Joe Dirt?” Not a memorable movie unless you are a mullet fan…well there is a wig hanging around our house and when I put it on Jay the first time he just sat there and stared back at me, so of course I thought he would do the same. Well, no. Here is Jay and what inspired me for the shoot:
After that Jay got down on the floor to do one of his favorite things – play ball with the doggies! It’s been amazing to watch the development of his motor skills. He’s gone from swiping at the ball to make it move, to pushing it, and now picking it up and throwing it! Which of course means that he is Josie’s new best friend as he loves anyone who will throw his ball over and over again…
OK, that’s it from Jaydenville for today. I’m back to finish up this paperwork that keeps trying to take over my desk. Gotta get the year end reports done so I can send them off to the taxman.
P.S. Kerri looks MUCH better today. Thank you to each and every one of you who lifted her up, whether you posted a comment or not. Prayer works!!

Send Kerri some love!!
Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you know that Kerri has been dealing with an especially bad bout of fibromyalgia right now. I wish I could understand the depth of pain it brings to her, but unless you suffer with it I don’t think there is a way to really understand it. Kinda like a man saying he understands what pregnancy and labor does to a woman. I may have an idea but I don’t really know. I know that when spring and summer comes the warm weather will make a big difference to Kerri, altho she will regret the heat. (Don’t we all?)
She has poured a lot of herself into this blog, and all of you mean so very much to her, but she is taking some time out now away from the laptop so she can concentrate on recovery as well as finding ways to get herself moving and retain some mobility. She has been like a rag doll this week and can’t seem to shake it. She’s also trying to gather her strength for our cruise in a couple weeks – we’re headed down to San Diego for a 5 day cruise to Mexico and back. We’re hoping to meet up with some of our Southern California Franga’s when we drive down.
Sooo, she will prob be checking in from time to time over the next several weeks, but until then our blog will be focused more on our photography and less on our personal life, as she just won’t have the time to spend posting up and visiting everyone. It was a very hard decision for her, as each of you mean so very much to her, and she really enjoys using this blog to open ourselves up to share part of our life with you. She started posting up her daily bible reading and prays that each of you will dive into the word along with her even tho she won’t be posting up the daily readings.
I’ll try to get some posts up on a regular basis but it will be tough since I’m busy with other aspects of the biz…Of course, we will be taking massive pictures of Jayden and will post those up when we can.
We’re also using this time to rest from last years wedding season and get ready for this years. We already have so many great couples we will be shooting this year, and we can’t wait for their weddings so we can share their day with you. January is also filled with couples who are planning their wedding and booking a photographer. We’re already booked for May and June and many of our other months are close to being filled. It’s an exciting time for us as we see what God has in store for us and the studio this year.
But I don’t want to get sidetracked in all of that – I’ll post more about our biz soon, but for now I want the focus of your thoughts and prayers to be on and for Kerri. please post up some encouraging words – she is in need of those right now….

Day 2
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

101 in 1001 break it down
I am breaking down “my daily items” so I dont forget to do them! I am starting with the Bible reading one. I broke this one down to a 3 year reading program. Today’s is 8 verses. So do able! I am going to set this up as my homepage so when I log on it will be the first thing I read. Thanks to Launate’s suggestion!
1. Bible Reading
Chapter 1

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day
2. Do something fun today
I know it sounds weird but I love wild weather so at a very wild point of the storm we are getting in No. California right now I went out to get some baby wipes for Jayden. It gave me a chance to see all the down trees and stuff. Can you believe I did not bring a camera! With all the rain and wind Mark would have killed me anyway! lol

101 in 1001
Here is a fun thing I have begun seeing this around the photography forum that I frequent. Its called 101 in 1001. Basically it refers to writng down 101 things you ever hope to do and do them within 1001 days. I am going to try and be realistic with my abiilties. I suffer with fibromyalgia and have some really down days like right now which might be why I am coming at this great idea with real caution. I dont want to disappoint myself by reaching for the stars and coming out with a disappointing number on day 1001. Been there done that with all the broken New Year Resolutions.

Karmere Vineyards
Matt & Michelle chose a wonderful location for their engagement shoot at the Karmere Vineyard in Amador County. When we met up in Folsom we had a really nice lunch and got to know each other a little bit before we got all paparazzi on them. LOL! It always helps to get to know your clients a little bit at least to get the best out of them. After our lunch we drove to The Karmere Vineyards – We really loved it there, what a really nice vineyard for a shoot and the proprietor was so gracious! It really lent itself to the perfect place to capture a couple in love.We can’t wait to capture your wedding day!Enjoy!-
