Our father was a bit of a photographer and we have memories of him setting up his flood lights that hurt our eyes and taking forever to get his photos. Its funny as I look back now how much that ended up influencing my life! Funny how life is… oh and check out how their shoes match!

Side story to this picture: About 6 years after this photo we lost everything in a fire except for our cat and the clothes on our backs. Our parents were divorced by then so my father kept some of these pictures which was recently found in a book. I was so excited that I ran down to a local lab and had the negatives copied onto a CD so I could make prints and cards. This is one of the 8 pictures we found. I just love this one and I have another one I will work on this week as well and post up.

  • Thanksgiving day – how relaxing!

    Thanksgiving day…

We’ve had some relaxing days here after working hard and getting all the slideshow posted.

Thanksgiving day we spent over at Dave & Kelly’s .The next day we invited everyone over to our house for a full evening of fun, games and food!

These are just a small sampling. Believe it or not we spent these days relaxing and didnt take as many photos as we usually do!

Edit: Day One was relaxing…Day Two was relaxing for Mark cuz he wasnt sitting in front of the computer all day but man did we COOK tons of food! We each took a station so it spread the work around which was sooo cool! I manned the turkey and the marinade and the stuffing while Brian and Lindsay manned the sweet potatoes. Mark got the house ready and did the last minute shopping cuz you never remember the butter!

  • Capitol Rose Garden Wedding & Firehouse Resturant Reception

Ben and Amanda are text book gorgeous and fun and laid back and super nice. I feel like I say this about all of our bride and grooms. Probably because I always do! We keep saying how amazingly fortunate and blessed we are to attract these great couples. We just connect.

Ben and Amanda put together a beautiful wedding and we just tagged along for the ride! Haha… It just went so smoothly and we so enjoyed ourselves. The wedding was touching with the most beautiful light shining down on them. When we arrived at the reception the air was filled with the sounds of a live jazz band from SF called Hale Baskin. It was a beautiful night at The Firehouse Restaurant. The courtyard with all the lights strung around the trees and the gorgeous fountain that graced the background for the beautiful cake was just stunning….okay enough of my words we’ll let the images speak now!

    Enjoy!

We made our deadlines so tis a very thankful Thanksgiving! We have 2 albums coming up on our next posts as well as a family shoot. So, come back when you are munching on your left overs!

  • Mike and Rachel’s fall engagement session on the ranch!

When we met Mike and Rachel we knew their e session was going to be fun! Horses, dogs, a ranch, fall leaves and well a handsome guy and a natural beauty all rolled into one day!

We also had some great blue skies and white puffy clouds. It did get a bit cold as the sun began to fade but Rachel’s Dad had some hot coffee waiting for us when we got in. Big big points with Mark for someone to make him coffee! I make him drink tea now…mwhahaha…oh sorry back to the story. The funnest part of the day (for us) was towards the end when we went out into the horse pasture for pics – I think those horses saw us and thought our cameras were food! I wish we had a video of that day…but if you ask real nicely maybe Mark will post up the horse laughing picture he got. It is so hilarious!

Thanks for the great treat you guys and we can’t wait to shoot your wedding!
