     Passover Seder (Matzoh Balls Soup)

    . IMG_1763

We took part in one last year, and it was really great to see how God speaks to us today, through Christ in the Passover Seder tradition.

To top it off, there was a great sunset outside, as if God was giving us a personal painting of our own for the day.

Tomorrow is Good Friday, and Sunday is Easter.

    He is Risen!!

  • TOO CUTE!!

Yesterday Kerri and I had the privilege to take family pictures of some friends.

They are great people, and this was our first chance to meet their children – they are INCREDIBLE!! Their youngest son is so adorable, their daughter is beautiful, and their three sons are great guys.

It was real fun for Kerri and I to meet them and take their pictures. The lighting was tough but they did great and there are some beautiful shots. (and some fun ones as well) I hope to have the slide show up tomorrow, but I may not get it done. As it is, it’s 1:00 AM, and I just got done editing the pictures down to the final pool.

These are just a few samplings…

    Rhoades
This is one of the outtakes from the family shot – the good ones are so much better, but you’ll just have to wait!!!

     Kyle
This is just a pic of their youngest son.

    McKenzie
    and this is their daughter.

They were all such great shots, it was so hard to pick a few to post.

I’m working tonight to finish the images and get a slide show together. I’ll post that link as soon as it’s up!

Tomorrow sometime we will be posting some shots of a Family PhotoShoot we did today…what a great family!!! We really enjoyed them there were 3 older boys and 2 younger siblings…they were sooo photogenic!!! Well you will see…

They are dear friends of our daughter and her husband….so we actually know them and really felt honored to be able to do this shoot….I hope they like what we got…considering the huge window and lack of  control over the lighting and background I think we did a good job. But we realized we really really need to get a couple of things if we are going to do inside shoots…backdrops and some “Alien Bees” for better lighting!

    So stay tuned for tomorrow…..

I am watching the Ten Commandments right now..so talk to you tomorrow!!

    Love Kerri

For those of you who have inquiring minds and just gotta know….  here is the story regarding the tattoos…..

When I was 15 and thought I was in love with the love of my entire life…I decided to make a bold statement and tattoo his initials on my hand….well we did a rather large K on his arm and we did a small R on my hand….then we broke up…..I began to really miss him and I guess he found the secret to flipping the switch….apparently he wiped me off the face of the planet…I did not exist in his world any longer…mind you I did not cheat on him or anything..he asked me not to go somewhere with someone and I did ( a trip to the store) and he said if you go it is over…huh??? Well I guess in a way its good I got out of that relationship because I was not marriage material obviously….at 15 …and that was a bit harsh…anyway I dont know if it was because he refused to have anything to do with me that it began to really bother me. Because I really started to pine for him….I dreamt about him and tried to be wherever he was goig to be…I know…stoopid!!! But young and stoopid seem to go together…sorry kids…but so does old and stoopid….sorry folks….Anyway!! I was so desperate to win him back (which by the way was a whole year later) when I decided to add his last name initial to the R. I guess I thought that would impress him??!!So then I had an older looking R and a fresh A sitting right next to it…A year later he married my best friend’s sister and she had him remove the K. SIGH…..I gave up….but I still dreamt about him for the longest time…. So that is the saga of Roger Ames and my broken heart and the permanent tattoo to go along with it. Now the other tattoo is just the Virgo sign since I was born in September . Oh by the way I did .the tattoos myself….so they are really deep….one day I hope to get them off. I heard somewhere they will take them off for free if they are “gang tats” think I could change my story and make Roger a gangster and me his mob girl? naaaaaaaaaaah.

Personally I am REALLY REALLY glad it didnt work out….with Roger….Mark is my dream man….

    Love Kerri

The nice thing about having a daughter Kelly in Cosmetology School is that she gets to play with color and cuts and all kinds of stuff on us…haha…. This was her first real weave and we decided to go way different with me! I now have a dark under color and platinum streaks altho I have some that are more golden…I am definitely an Irish girl! I have that red undertone in my brown hair so it is real hard to get me to a blonde let alone a white blonde!!! Go visit her she has finally has a laptop and DSL!!! So no excuses now!!!

So this is for my good friend Robin Michelini! She wanted to see my new color!…..

Thank you to The Rock of Granite Bay….we are leaving our church after 4 years and the Rock Stream after 9 years…going to be wierd! But God is moving us along…we have felt it for awhile now so it is good to be following Him to the next place…God LEAD us to that place….

Whew!! I finished the slideshow tonight. I had been working here and there on it, and using a new program, so it was taking me longer than usual. But it was a welcome diversion from the paperwork I was doing today.

Click here to see the show!

Since this is a new program, some of the slide timings are a little off, but I know they will improve as future shows come along.

Thanks for joining us in the journey through Yosemite!!

This is for my friend Crystal who is grieving over the loss of two of her church members and friends…. please visit her and read the story of these two magnificent men who laid down their lives to save others….

    Passed into Life!

“I tell you the truth. If a person hears what I say and

believes in the One (God) who sent me, that person has life

forever. That person will not be judged guilty. He has

already left death and has entered into life.

    – John 5:24 (ERV)

    KEY THOUGHT:

Every great once-in-a-while I awaken after the sun is up and the glory of the day has begun. Without my fully realizing it, night has already passed into day, darkness into light. In much the same way, as I come to know Christ and the salvation he brings, the more I realize that my life has begun again in a new, fresh, and exciting way. I have passed from death to life. Even though my body will ultimately fail me, my Lord Jesus will not. While death and decay may claim my physical existence, the eternal part of me is joined to Jesus and will never die. My future is tied to Christ. My sin is gone and eternal life has begun!

    TODAY’S PRAYER:

Author of life, thank you for giving me a new life in Jesus. I know that I have passed from death to life. The life I live, I now commit to live for Jesus. Bless me as I seek to live wholeheartedly and vibrantly for you so that when my physical life is over, my spiritual life is ready to be taken to you in glory. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

      Our Kids….

our daughter……………………………………………………………..with her new Nikon (gasp!)

Kerri and I are so excited to see both our children actively enjoying photography. When we went to Yosemite this last weekend, I looked back at one point and saw my entire family taking pictures…(Did I get a picture of that scene – NOOOOO!…) When you do something together as a family it is very satisfying.

Our friend Robin took a shot of us as a family all using our ‘weapons’ so when I get that I’ll post it..

I’m not sure when or where our next adventure will be – we’ve talked about the beach, but may have to wait for all the storms to pass!!

P.S. – Yosemite Pictures are coming. I have a slide show partially done, but we’ve been working on business stuff this week, and that dropped down the list a bit. Kerri posted some great pics in the last post below, so enjoy them!

  • SLIDESHOW LINKS

Thanks for coming to visit us at our new site! We really are glad to have you along with us.
Please leave a comment and subscribe!

    slideshow

Many of you have noticed that some of the links to slideshows that Kerri and I had posted in our old blogs no longer work. Thats because we upgraded to a new server, and the file path names had to be changed.

Here are the current shows we have on our server with the new links. (As an added advanture, you can also track the process of our logo development by seeing which logo was used early on, and how it eventually changed into our current logo…)

    Zack & Nikki Reif’s Shower & Engagement
This is a neat couple from our church that Kerri got to shoot the Bridal shower. We were at the wedding, and while we werent the official photographers Kerri got a couple of shots so we could put a show together for them.

    Mark’s trip to New York
I went back to New York a few months ago for my Grandmother’s funeral. It was a very emotional trip for me, as it may be the last time I travel back to my home town. You can read my blog entry here.

    Kelly and Dave in Folsom
Our daughter and her husband on an informal shoot in Folsom, California.

    Brian’s trip to Dillon Beach
Our son recently travelled to Dillon Beach, California with his school for 4 days. He took one of our old Rebels with him to capture the trip, and was thereby transformed into the latest photographer in our family!!

Brent Gove’s 40th Birthday Party and Brent’s Album
Our friend Brent and Kathy – she threw a surprise FUNERAL for him for his 40th birthday, and it was a lot of fun!

Plus there are a few shows from Mark’s trip to Newport Beach to take part in the Mike Colon seminar:

    Photoshoot on the beach
On our second day Mike took us out to a local beach with two models to practice some of the camera techniques he had been teachig us.

    Fashion shoot
The next day Mike took us to an all day fashion shoot by a local wedding dress designer, Marianne Lanting. It was 3 models with 12 dresses, an old car and a lot of fun!

    Bride and Groom
The next day Mike had one of the models come back with her husband for us to practice some outdoor pictures using available lighting.

When I got home, I put a couple other shows together:

    All three combined
I took the three slide shows from the trip and combined them into one show.

    The Photographers
I also took pictures throughout my trip of the photographers taking pictures – we never have anyone taking pictures of us (which is why we are behind the lens in the first place!!) But I got them here.

    Enjoy!!

WE WILL POST ANY NEW SHOWS ON OUR WEBSITE, SO STAY TUNED FOR MORE PICTURES!!

  • PICS ARE COMIN!

     Morning everyone!

    Flowers

We’re back fromYosemite. It was a tiring weekend, but we had a blast. We should have some pics and a slide show up soon…

I just got this link from one of the friends I made at the Mike Colom seminar:

    Panoramic View

This was on the day we took beach shots. If you click your mouse over the pic and move it, the picture will move so you can see the whole scene.
