  • Thank You for my Birthday Wishes!!!

Thank you all for coming by and wishing me a Happy Birthday! What love! SInce it is our busy time for our business it is so hard to find time to visit around…yet you still come by and visit! What great friends we have! When things slow down it will be fun to have my life back so I can do other things than our business. I really love what we do but it really does eat your lunch. We spend way too much time taking, editing and post processing, putting up the slideshow and galleries then designing albums. Believe me it takes over our life. You must wonder why do we do that? Well, part of why we do it is because we are setting up Brian and Lindsay to be able to do their own businesses in photography. The other part is we just really love doing this. With all 4 of us we can all come away with thousands of images for just one wedding. That is 3 times the images that one photographer usually has to edit. But we love that we get so many shots for the bride and groom and their friends and familes.

So, as the wedding season winds down next month we are going to be so super excited to get some of our life back…haha. But we will always be continuing any classes, conferences, practicing and experimenting and learning all we can to stay on the edge of things and giving all we can to our bride and grooms.

Today, I am looking forward to relaxing after our wedding last night. I usually like to go to a matinee and see the latest movie that I would otherwise have to wait to come out on DVD. So I am hoping to see Viggo Mortenson’s new movie. Eastern Promises. I think that is the name.

We will post up our Winchester Country Club Wedding Sneak Peek sometime tonight or tomorrow!

Enjoying the cool 50′s and the first day of fall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Have a wonderful Sunday!!!

Here are a some Carmel shots….did you know Carmel caters to dogs big time!?? I loved it!!! Alot of these were just quick snipes as we walked by….

  • Happy Birthday Kerri!!

Today was Kerri’s birthday! I was so busy last night working on pictures that I didnt get the post up so you could all come and wish her a happy birthday today, so you’ll have to do it tomorrow!

We’re out shooting a wedding so it will be nice for her to come home to read what all our friends have to say.

Tonight we went out for dinner at Beni Hana – she had never been there so it was a real treat. Oh man, was the food guuuuuuuuuuuuud!  Kelly, Dave & Jayden surprised her by showing up as well!

Here are a few shots from tonight:

Not only are they really just a great family but the day we had just walking around their neighborhood was so relaxing! After a very full day of shooting it was such a treat to enjoy the beauty of the area…

  • Audra and Evan Tied the Knot!

Tired, hungry sore and sleepy are the best way to explain how we feel after taking a month off and how we feel after our first wedding back oh and OUCH! haha…but it was so much fun. Evan and Audra are a crack up!

It was great becuase we knew so many people there There was such a mixture of people we knew. Pastors from our first Rock Church then the Pastors from our last Rock Church. The Pastor of our last Rock Church, John officiated the wedding and he did such a great job! We got to see his wife Janey who really is the sweetest person in the world. Pastors Francis and Suzy were such a part o our lives that it seems strange that we dont see them anymore. But we have now done 2 weddings with Pastor John and probably wont be the last.

We also knew the whole crew from Starbucks at the Starbucks table. We got to see one of our upcoming Oct bride and grooms there as well as our really special Starbucks couple who we shot last year, Sarai and Nick. It was a special treat to see Audra’s mom, Dean, whom I have had the pleasure of working with for the last 6 years decorating her Annual Crisis Pregnancy Center’s Banquet. Her husband is a DJ at KLOVE. If you listen to that station you have heard him: Larry Wayne.

Then last but not least we got to shoot at the Flower Farm again….such great people there….the DJ was great his name was Jamie Sullivan at 24Karat Disc Jockey Productions was EXCELLENT! As well as the caterer Monte Montgomery at ALL SEASONS…put out a spread and it was sooo good! The flowers were by FlowerWorks, and they were rockin!

So without much ado here are a few preview pics for ya!

When we took their engagement pics, Evan surprised us when we saw his mustache tattoo on his finger. So we wanted to do something with that at their wedding, especially since we knew they were all fun. So out came the sharpie and voila, mustache’s all around!

EDIT: Heading to Carmel for tomorrow’s wedding! Excited for that and for meeting up Mommyfish ( Nancy and George)! see ya’ll later!

    Guess who’s getting married tomorrow!!!

    Audra-Evan.jpg

Remember Audra and Evan?    The gorgeous and sweet couple that we shot at the Flower Farm. Well their wedding day has certainly arrived quickly! It just seems like time just speeds along at warp speed these days. I just finished 2 albums and next thing ya know we got more weddings to shoot….haha. After we do Evan and Audra’s wedding we get to drive down to Carmel the next morning and do another gorgeous and sweet couple who are friends of Evan and Audra. Sweeeeet! More cool weather! Then when we are done there we get to visit Mommyfish (George and Nancy!) Now that is what I call a great weekend!

Tomorrow is going to be such a delight. Audra’s mother is a dear friend and mighty woman who shakes things up spiritually! She is the director of a Crisis Pregnancy Center in town that has saved many many babies and their parents from tragic circumstances. We have gotten to know Audra just this year when she and Evan asked us to shoot their wedding. We are really looking forward to not only documenting their day but also witnessing  a union of two people becoming one. I am always in awe of that miracle.

So tomorrow will be all things PINK! I love it. I even went out and bought some pink flip flops and a pink tank to wear. So excited too that it is going to be in the 80′s!!!! Thank you Audra and Evan for picking a great weather day to get married on!!! YAY!

Here is their engagement slideshow if you havent seen it yet….we had such a blast even tho it was hot!

See ya tomorrow, you two lovebirds!

Playing around with texture overlays…been so intruiged by them. Finally got a few minutes today to try some. We picked this photograph and loved the results so we decided to post the before and after for you…
When a bride and groom hire us they not only hire us for our time, our equiment, our skill and creativity but also for the art work. That all takes time but we love it and when the album is designed it is like giving it all a beautiful home.

Don’t you just love before and afters??? I love them…even tho I liked the before alot I really like the look of the after…

Remember last month when we said our son Brian had been asked to do a friend’s sister’s wedding? Well he just finished editing them and made his first slideshow. He did all the work himself on the editing and slideshow between working and school. We are glad we made him do it because now he knows how! It was worth it for him to do it that way.

Thanks to Lindsay his sister and their friend Taylor Fine they shot this wedding pretty much on their own. Great job guys!

Zach and Jorden are such a sweet couple. Right after their wedding and short honeymoon they both returned to Alaska so Zach could finish his seminary training.

So now Brian and Lindsay have done their first solo wedding we may have to hire some new assistants for us! Brian will be setting up a website soon and possibly Lindsay will too. She needs to!

Great job Brian, Linds and Taylor! We are proud of you. Not bad for a 19yr old, a23 yr old, and a15yr. old!
